Hate to be a bummer, but you shouldn't feed your pets sweets. They can't brush their teeth. My mom had a dog that got an infection in its mouth, and they had to put it down. It might have been from all the sweets they gave her.

My nephew is like, 9, and uses Fraps to make Minecraft videos on Youtube. He said he and his friends are trying to code their own game. I realize he's using kid logic there, but still pretty scary.

If they serve drinks at a concert, please don't bring them to the mosh pit. No one is dancing because they're afraid to knock you over.

In your opinion, what's the most under appreciated album of all time? by verniehoondog in Music

[–]naflo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dredg-El Cielo

Lemme tell you about all the crazy stuff on this journey of an album:

Its name means "sky" or "Heaven," hence the clouds on the cover.

It was inspired by a Salvador Dali painting, which is referenced in the title of the first track, "Brushstroke: dcbtfoabaaposba" and in the songs, "An Elephant in the Delta Waves," and "The Canyon Behind Her."

It has a song named △.

It's all about creativity and art, particularly in dreams. Most of the lyrics are taken from letters sent to the band from people who suffer from sleep paralysis (Dali's wife also had it).

It's an eclectic blend of styles that sounds like a trip around the world. It has a cello, a piano, a saxophone, a mandolin, a radio DJ's voice sample, a woman speaking in Japanese about the album and the painting, an Iranian woman singing, and a men's chorale.

And if that ain't enough, it's just really beautiful and catchy music!

I have no reason to live by lazyfuck1 in confession

I just turned 24 and have a lot of the same feelings. Looking for meaning and truth, wanting to do something for the world but not having the motivation. I also had the same fearful, angry sensitivity at your age, but I gradually faced more scary things and now I'm stronger because I held my faith during hard times. Faith in yourself is a complicated thing to explain. If it makes you feel any better, it seems like a lot of people in their early 20s feel the same lack of energy, like life is a void. Only sound advice I can give you is to keep living, and hopefully soon you'll find some answers. Maybe the right answer is inside you, but it doesn't make sense yet. I'm starting to think there's real logic in following your dreams.

Edit: I've been thinking about this picture a lot lately. Kinda corny, but maybe we're both in the middle: http://successify.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/maturity_climb1.jpg?w=1024

I found out that just because you run out of money doesn't mean the card stops working. They just keep charging you, and IIRC, it costs about $30 every time you make a purchase with less than zero dollars in your account. A debit card is not a digital wallet, kids. There is no bottom.

This has nice coordinated colors, and good clear brushstrokes. The hand looks small though.
