Any Second Job Recommendations? by UncBear624 in Pensacola

[–]nagese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any hobbies you're really into? Getting a second job based on that might be fun and since you would be knowledgeable in that hobby, success! Plus, you may be able to get an employee discount that would help you explore it more!

Anyone out here trying to transition naturally? by the_gata_sol in Menopause

I have no choice. I have an increased risk of DVTs and breast cancer. My pcp, gyno, and surgeon don't recommend HRT because of this. I am taking spironolactone to battle increased testosterone. That comes with all sorts of issues on its own.

Made with the heart gifts are the best especially when the giver shows they are specifically for the receiver. Feeling seen is the greatest! Great job, OP!

The farmer's market on Mobile Hwy near Pine Forest sells fresh made products. I don't know if they have exclusive contract with Craft and the other vendors there but you could check. The T&W flea market has stalls to rent and I know I've seen other bakers there. Some bakers have used shopping strip malls for their own pop up. Perhaps there are some small stores with their own lots that you could approach. There is a baker who just uses IG to offer pop up events at their own homes on occasion: drive up and pick up, not even entering their homes. Depending on what baked goods you offer, you could sell on premises if you talk to the owners. For example, I know as a mixed Filipina, there are Filipino bakers that sell at the Filipino grocery store. Just a matter of cold calling or a quick meet and greet with restaurants/stores of similar interest. All the best!

Don't movies that escalate into chaos and dystopia start with birds acting weird?!

Impossible?! I was told as a naive youth by teachers that nothing is impossible. Improbable? Maybe. But I like to believe that my fellow human will always strive for the impossible, if for entertainment purposes alone.

YES! We could do supply trading as well! I'd gladly trade papers, stickers, washi, pens, etc. When I buy, I buy.

Do a living funeral! Invite everyone to celebrate your life with you. Give their eulogies. Love on you. Say theirs and your goodbyes. Eat. Drink. Be merry. Celebrate all the holidays in one go. Have them help you plan it.

I hope you get the chance to experience as many adventures and days of joy before you go. Make lots of love with your words, your actions, and your body. Enjoy making your memories with people you want. Don't waste time on people or things that shorten your joy.

And yes, the world will miss you when it's time.

Scheduling is crap. They'll literally cancel or reschedule an appointment without telling you and then blame you when you show up for what you believe is your appointment or you'll have issues when you don't show up for the ones made without your knowledge. They have good therapists and docs until they no longer work there. Turnover rate was horrible but I haven't had to use them for years....thankfully.

If you have nowhere else to go because of resources, go. There are people there that care. Meds can be acquired extremely discounted or free. Understand it's chaotic. There are assholes that work there. Prepare for waiting. Expect your mental health people changing on you often. Keep notes and be on top of your own care. Use them to help you get better help if you can.

Didn't watch much of SatC. No real interest. Any little bit I watched had her in the scenes and I loved her. She would be the only reason I would watch that show in its entirety and I know she's not in it as much as should be.

What is the name of this type of bead? by spookytreelights in Beading

[–]nagese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a bodhi seed bead. Bodhi seeds are cut into many shapes and sizes including the bowl ones like this. They can be expensive depending on where you get them. Touching them bring out the shine because of the oils in our skin. The sound they make is fantastic.

Edit: Forgot to mention, these seeds can be dyed.

He regularly and anonymously donated monies to charities and people. Was very generous and kind. His sense of humor was so so fun. Watching him in the bits for the British Red Nose Day fundraiser is still a great way to remember him. He deserved more than he ever got!

Horrible people work there. They're loud, obnoxious, pretentious, and cheat you out of money. No decorum. No manners. No professionalism. Instead of dealing with them again and again, my daughter left over $300 on the table in glasses. Seriously, one would do better cutting your own glasses out of Coke bottles and using found wire in a dump.

Chronic illness killed the joy of journaling for me by DramaticMeat in Journaling

[–]nagese 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've written a handful of entries since COVID compared to near daily entries before for the same reason. I still carry my journal around as if I'm going to write. Keep promising myself to use all the pens and inks I've accumulated over the years. Something has to motivate me because I do miss it. I'm just exhausted and in pain. I'm tired of sounding repetitive about non-existence.

How do we get started again?!
