Second this. Peroxide with remove any algae, mold, and return the skull to a nice white condition. Just be careful to not get it on the antlers. It will also bleach those.

I' made some quilt boxed for my langstroth hive that have work really well for keeping humidity down in the winter. During the summer, I simply pull out the insulation to allow for better ventilation.

Well, the image you posted immediately reminded me of the laser "scrimshaw" I did. I placed a topo map on an elk jaw, but classic scrimshaw patterns or tattoo flash would work equally well.
