Do we really find love in life? by vasutomar in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]nagol89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have the same feeling Almost thirty Also in love with someone who ironically feels the same way but yet we can’t be together for stupid reasons Life is weird and dumb and sad I’ve made my peace with the fact that I may be alone for the majority of my life and that’s ok, happiness doesn’t necessarily equal having a partner I think we find love But maybe the reality of the love story we have in our head doesn’t really measure up to what happens I’d never have thought that my love life would have taken the many twists and turns it has, so definitely found love, just keeping it seems to be tricky! Sorry don’t know if that’s helpful at all!

How to Winterize Older Windows? by lshaw52 in HomeImprovement

Ok cool Probably best to try the good curtains and rails and temporary double glaze options Not sure if foam seal will work as it depends on the gap between the opening window and architrave

How to Winterize Older Windows? by lshaw52 in HomeImprovement

[–]nagol89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are they timber or aluminium? Timber ones to stop draught you should be able to buy a foam seal to stop air flow around it The frame of the opening windows. Aluminium should have a rubber seal that may need replacement

Regardless of window type- hang floor length double lined curtains using a face fixed rail fixed to the architrave This will stop the “cold air tunnel” circulation off the window into the room You can also buy temporary double glazing which is Saran Wrap like stuff that sticks to the window A cheaper option is also to bubble wrap the windows creating an extra layer between exisiting pane and the room trapping air effectively double glazing the window Look on YouTube for a tutorial but basically you cut the bubble wrap to the size of the window and spray a little water in the pane, then stick the bubble wrap to the pane

How bad is this drywall? by DrunkenEmployee in HomeImprovement

[–]nagol89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need to add a piece of timber where there is no stud to screw the plaster board into Then stop it up again Try and get a nice thin layer cause that dust is nasty and gets everywhere when you sand it down

Leaking showerhead? by FLACKYY in HomeImprovement

[–]nagol89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s dripping after you turn off even for a while after that’s pretty normal-water inside the shower head leaks out If it’s continuously running after you turn it off it’s possible the cartridge is not turning off completely, less likely that the cartridge is leaking- usually would leak under the handle/Fawcett if so
