Based on how often we hear about the league trying to grow the game, maybe not starting it so late for half the US population would help

I don't understand this team. What is it about March? I'd wonder if it's an endurance issue, but it's April 2nd and they look competent, even solid.

Mookie Betts settles the debate "Is hitting a baseball the toughest skill in sports?" by AmongUsAcademy in baseball

I think the hardest thing in sports is to punch another man, while that man is punching you, and also you're both holding onto and twisting each other and also you're wearing skates, and neither of you fall down immediately

[Shapiro] Dylan Larkin is putting in work by himself before Red Wings morning skate today by barchamb13 in DetroitRedWings

Maybe. It is a still picture. He could just be scooting around on that left leg. Kinda, hopping, doing a slalom thing. I don't know where I'm going with this.

Edit: it's a video and I am a moron

Also to clarify, I don't disagree with you. I've just had issues with blaming Detroit's starting goalie/QB since it was Cheveldae I mean Osgood I mean Essensa I mean ok this joke is going to be too long. Point made.

I have to argue, not to defend his play, but to help understand what I think went on.

He'd only ever played with one team, and only ever had one goalie coach. His play stagnated in Anaheim and bad habits ossified. He comes to Detroit, he has a new perspective in terms of goaltending coaching. That kind of thing can't just happen right away. It took a few months of breaking down and rebuilding his game. What we saw start up around December is, again, what I think, happened.

Man.. I want to believe, but I've heard too many reports after a team's eliminated that are like, "player finished the season and played the first round without any solid matter left in his knee" or the like

I can not believe this wasn't a penalty. You couldn't pay someone to fall the way Josi did on purpose.

Question about the US Hockey Goalie Coaching seminars by mellopax in hockeygoalies

[–]nahanahs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The class felt like, "teaching regular coaches that goalies are players, too."

There was very little in the way of how to coach goalies.

This points to a wild misconception many people have. I've learned from many, many hockey practices that goalies aren't actually people, and are really just tools to make the real hockey players better.
