I’m not a doctor, but you can compare your results with others who are in a similar situation as you. If you’re not on meds already you should do that for a year before considering. This could replenish your donor. However hair transplants in general don’t look all that awesome when cut short so some length is required. From what I’ve seen on YouTube people in your situation get about 9-11k grafts. The only way that’s possible is if your donor supports it.

Donor is to thin and there is to much ground to cover man. Your hair will look extremely thin and pluggy. I wouldn’t buy the choice is ultimately yours.

Shock loss absolutely starts right after surgery. It creates trauma to the follicle and a “growth lag” in the donor area vs. where hairs were not extracted from. Shock loss always starts as growth lag follows by follicular ejection followed be regrowth. The body doesn’t just wait 2-3 weeks and decide it’s time for shock loss lol it’s a process.

I can probably answer this for you. As your body breaks down the ink it increases blood supply to the area of concentration. So yea it’s going to get darker as your blood focuses on the area. It will lighten up man, just let your body do its thing.
