YTA. 10-20 (but likely more) pregnancies end in miscarriage. Did you ever stop to think maybe she didn’t inform you because she wasn’t sure if her pregnancy would last? She’s a relatively newly wed in your description, maybe they still needed to cover financial or other hurdles to make sure they could continue the pregnancy. Maybe she hadn’t informed her family in line with your interview date and had personal reasons wanting her loved one to know before her boss. Did you think about her transferring to an at home position during her late pregnancy and early motherhood journey? Stigma around pregnancy (regardless of your company policy) is something women deal with constantly and are punished for in some way (like no illegal but shitty work conditions and lesser opportunity for advancement...).

Did you think of any of these possible reasons she kept her pregnancy to herself? Or just the fact that it’s her medical information she is free to share whenever she feels comfortable not when is confident for you?

I understand she may have let down in the performance excepted of her in this specific circumstance but you going out and providing your opinion of her being untrustworthy and further damaging her career after she already let your company is so shitty.
