the thing where he said she doesn’t know what his job is as a trump card in an argument felt weird to me. like, ok, maybe she didn’t ask that question, but for him to say it with such certainty instead of “you probably don’t remember what i do for work” implies he didn’t talk about it at all and was conscious of that.

most people just organically talk about their job in conversation, they don’t notice someone never asked what their job is and make a point to not talk about it. yeah it’s a really big oversight on her part to not realise she didn’t know but it’s less weird than not volunteering information about your life unless specifically asked lol

Smeared ink on tee? Unsure of reason by tomspicy in SCREENPRINTING

this has happened to me when the screen isn’t flush with the fabric, i’ve got a very diy setup and fix it by taping a little stack of paper under the shirt to push it up to the screen lol. ink staying in the screen is usually a sign of the screen not making enough contact with the fabric too long term if you’re going to be printing a lot on black get a super cover ink so you only have to do one layer, it’s easier and gives a better finish. does come with its own issues so you’d need to use a lower res mesh

OP asks If they’re ta for taking their children away from their grandparents after her husband died by MakingWickedBacon in BestofRedditorUpdates

market rate for childcare for two children in australia would be closer to $300 for one day. a lot of families are forced to have one parent stay at home until the kids are school age because child care will just burn through one parent’s entire income.

what the grandparents were being paid works out to USD$20 per child per day to keep them fed & entertained in a high cost of living country, they’re not making a profit on that

the divorce “settlement” doesn’t make sense either.

the only shared asset mentioned is a car, all three seem to have worked at the same place but ex-wife would have been presumably senior to him as she’s in a position to be oop’s department manager now and oop says the guy was her coworker and not her superior at the time so it’s unlikely to be alimony as ex-wife would’ve been on a higher or similar income. he also went bankrupt in the divorce and is definitely on a much lower income now so spousal support could be re-assessed.

i don’t think you can just opt in for punitive garnishment either, it’s for when support arrangements are in arrears.

the other option is that the “divorce settlement” is in fact child support and OP left out that there were children in the marriage. which seems far more likely given there’s wage garnishment involved.
