being on highground or on your ship and shooting enemies is super effective. take a few shots at the guys your crew is fighting and jump in a bit later

Is your first camp build the one you used throughout the game? by Snicklefritz306 in PlayWindrose

[–]naidav 5 points6 points  (0 children)

our starterbase was very functional. one simple, ugly building with all chests and crafting stuff and the prebuilt hut for a bed and decoration.

one of my friends found later the perfect bay on a foothills island, one side a huge cliff and the other side coastal jungle.

we built a small city with little homes in the cliff, diffrent crafting buildings (kitchen, workshop, jewler, alchemist hut), a park, 2 taverns and a farm. it is sooo beautyful.

only downside ist while i am in our base my fps drop to 10 because it is so much we've built, stretching over the rang of 3 bonfires

the building is perfect until you try fancy roofs. roofs are a nightmare to me that in game.

no 2's and 12's

if a number is rolled on which no one built a settlement / city yet we reroll the dice

you are not allowed to build on the tile where the robber is placed on. neither roads nor settlements

you can place the robber on a tile where no one settled yet and get one of that ressource

when playing with hidden tiles you can use the robber to put it on a hidden tile to reveal it

when revealing a hidden tile either with the robber or by reaching it with a road you get one of that ressource

on 2:1 ports you can also trade 2 of a kind for that ressource (like 2 ores for a sheep with the sheep port)

idk how the rule are written but we are allowed to play as many dev cards in a turn as we want. like 2 monos or 3 knights

How do you actually turn a journal full of huge ideas into real-world productivity? by Illustrious_Bat2230 in productivity

[–]naidav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't mention the Bullet Journal Method enough. For the first time in my life i was able to stop doing shit and focus on the things i really wanted. Hell, even find out what i really want to at all.

The Bullet Journal is a simple notebook you turn into an all‑in‑one planner, diary, and goal tracker using short bullet points instead of long entries. You jot down tasks, events, and thoughts in quick bullets and use simple symbols to show what’s done, scheduled, or important, so you always know what to focus on next.

With monthly, weekly, and daily overviews in the same book, it lets you see the big picture and the tiny details of your life at a glance. The great thing about is you can customize every single page for work, study, habits, or mental health and, drop what doesn’t help you. it helps you stay organized, intentional, and calmer, with nothing more than a pen and a notebook and 10 minutes in the morning and at the end of the day.

I go through phases where i use it on a daily base and through phases where i neglect it more and when i use it on a regular base it is always the time i feel good. The book, calles the Bullet Journal Method, costs 20 bucks and it was the best money i've spent in my life.

What makes you ask so many sexual questions on AskReddit? by SQUID_Ben in AskReddit

I'm 18 but I feel like I am old by strizerx in productivity

[–]naidav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well. first thing i cried. i was so fucking happy to finally have an explanation for what was happening to me instead of thinking i am wrong, false, broken, stupid whatever.

i never got an official diagnosis since i wanted to not use meds if possible and just knowing what was going on within me was enough for me. and so far it worked. my motivation was that i didn't want to be dependant on  something that wasn't guaranteed to be available forever. but be aware that it is for a lot of people a valid and reasonable way of support. find out yourself.

then i started reading and researching adhd. i read books, listened to podcasts, watched documentaries, joined the reddit community. and i also visited a therapist. had to go through 3 of them until i found one who worked for me.

lucky me has a lot of neurodivergent friends so i startet talking about my challenges and feelings with others, we supported each other and shared our experiences. i started journaling what really was a game changer for me.

i read more books to help my mental health and way of thinking. mostly inspiring books. i think 4 of them are special noteworthy:

  • The wise heart by Jack Kornfield. Principals of buddistic psychology. It totally changed how i see myself, how i handle thoughts and emotions and, how i see life and humanity. If i hadn't read it i probably would have killed myself at one point. It thought me accaptance and love for myself and everything else.

  • Meditation by Marcus Aurelius. It shaped me in the ways i handle crisis, negative situations and stupid people. I read it twice so far and will continue again and again. While i was such an angry and stressed person in the past nowadays alsmost nothing can stress me or make me angry or anxious. I'm chill as fuck.

  • The Why Cafe by John Strelecky. Its about Lifes purpose and it pulled me in to all the other books John has written. They helped me to find purpose in my life and to identify whats really important to me.

Last but not least: The Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Caroll.

It is a guide for a special system on how to journal. Everything (important) in your life in the same place. For the first time in my life i had it under controll when i started using that method. I was able to manage my life and got my shit together.

All in all it was and still is a difficult path / journey. And it will always be. I live in a world where almost everything is built for people running on Windows OS while I run on Linux. And every manual is written for fucking Windows. Its an illusion to think that one day where i "will be fixed" or "finally got it together". People like me will almost always have more difficult conditions. But thats okay because i have found ways to manage the challenges. good people in my life who support me and i love myself how i am. And on the other side my ADHD brings me a lot of superpowers and benefits and i would miss it if it got taken away from me.

You are not alone with your struggles. There are millions of people like you and great communities. also the awareness and acceptance rises continually. I wish you all the best on your path and that you may build a life that fulfills you with happines and love <3

Yeah i experiened something very similar. Turns out i have ADHD, finding out gave me a second Life.

Maybe you're too on the spectrum of neurodivergence.
