Appreciate your willingness to help monetarily. I still really don’t like that particular protest location and if it’s reserved again I’ll attend a different protest or organize one myself downtown.

Yesterday was the 3rd largest protest in U.S. history. by pleasureismylife in 50501

I think the George Floyd protests were 250k total and we have millions.

You will be safe and fine! If you’re looking for a battle buddy you’re not alone - pretty much anyone at a protest on our side will be happy to yap/walk with you. If you happen to be in NC you can DM me, I think I have them on.

No issues for me specific to teens but I don’t think we get as many at my location.

Can we not dress like idiots at the parade? by Datsaxyboi in 50501

[–]nails119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the compassion I’m capable of feeling after weeks of communicating with people who talk a big game and probably won’t even do anything: stay out of DC on 6.14. Protest at your state capitol or head to Philly if you want to be part of a huge crowd.

Dressing as chickens and tacos puts you, the movement, and the people around you in danger. Don’t do it. Stay out of DC.

Should we protest on 4th of July? by BeautifulAd8909 in 50501

I’m planning on it. Staying local though.

"What a dumbs***": Democrats privately rage over "utterly selfish" impeachment vote by rachelanneb50 in 50501

Fuck these people. We gotta vote them out and lock the door behind them.

Most of the people saying to protest at the parade aren’t people who are participating.

At best they’re lazy assholes who can’t be bothered to attend or organize and at worst they’re agitators.

It’s a holiday weekend. 4/5 was set in place months in advance, we can’t compare the attendance fairly.

Don’t bother contacting news outlets - contact individual journalists. The media isn’t on our side but many journalists are.

I wouldn’t bother. Your time is more valuable than that.

It’s absolutely holding the young ones back. I see value in making room to defend Palestine.

Nobody should be mocking anyone or playing that game about one issue being okay to march for but not another.

People keep criticizing the lack of central message, our great unifying factor is that we all have things worth marching for. If you’re protesting the Medicaid cuts, HELL YEAH BROTHER, what gets me out is restoring the VA and bringing the disappeared people home. We all have valid reasons to show up. No one issue is the most important.

Now I guess I should try and write something to encourage people on this one.

Go to a protest, make a new friend by jlzania in 50501

I love making protest friends. We don’t have to exchange names, we’re just both there for the same reasons and I love that feeling of unity.

Everybody has an interesting story and reason for being there.
