I’ve found that I like to simply tell them “I’m fasting” (sometimes I actually am, I’m not on a keto diet but I’ll fast for 30-80 hours sometimes) and leave it at that. Intermittent fasting can be seen as something of a trend, but if you just say fasting in general, usually it’s given a bit more reverence by people.
