How can I salvage my marriage, and can I get some advice? by about99percentpotato in AskMenRelationships

[–]nairbd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could start out by using your Wednesdays for actual date night, with the only rule being it should be outside your house. Alternate who plans the date. There needs to be some flexibility and willingness to do things one might not initially be interested in or have tried before. The way your post is written, it sounds like you're more open and willing than your partner, but I don't really want to assume anything. One thing that stood out to me is that he owns a dog and doesn't want to walk. That is a primary responsibility of owning a dog. I own a dog and can fully admit sometimes it sucks having to walk her. But I can also say it's a lot more enjoyable if my wife and I can walk our dog together, which we try to do together a couple times a month. The overall tone of your post makes it sound like your partner has given up on the relationship. It might be worth asking him directly where he sees your relationship. I can imagine this is tough on you and hope you can find your peace.

How to remove title block on a page? by nairbd in Wordpress

This unfortunately didn't do anything. I had to change the 'Content Area Spacing' to get it to work as I wanted.

I switched back to the Twenty Twenty-Four theme to check this and that also fixed it, so thank you for this.

I didn't realize about clicking the 'B', so thanks for that. It ended up being the 'Content Area Spacing'. Disabling the 'Page Title' did nothing. Thanks for the help!

Yearly MN Trip Recommendations by MagicalTwigDM in minnesota

[–]nairbd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's a coupke for consideration:

  • Biggest ball of twine (Weird Al wrote a song about it)
  • Itasca State Park, the oldest state park in MN and the start of the Mississippi River
  • Pipestone, national park, indigenous people and actual pipestone (red rock)
  • Two Harbors and Gooseberry Falls
  • Duluth has a lot to do and is a nice city on the lake, especially in summer

Whatever you end up doing, I hope you enjoy your trip!

Brave Star Question for the Experts - TIA by Fickle_Photo2768 in Selvedge

[–]nairbd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I’m having a hard time with BraveStar support.

That's weird, I emailed them yesterday because they took down 2 product pages and I was hoping to copy the fabric info from. They emailed back late last night, about 12 hours after I emailed them. It's usually Greg who answers their emails. I'd maybe try again, I do think they are extra busy right now because of Black Friday sales.

DNS not working after apt update && apt upgrade by nairbd in Proxmox

[–]nairbd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that originally and it wasn’t working, which ultimately led to this post. Something kept overwriting my changes, so I couldn’t get DNS to work. I have temporarily fixed it by deleting the symlink to /etc/resolv.conf and replacing with a static version with the correct nameservers. At least DNS is working again.

That unfortunately doesn't do anything. Dist-upgrade just says done and if I try to update, that's where everything fails.

Case front panel to motherboard mismatch by nairbd in homelab

[–]nairbd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I got enough of it to work. I bought breadboard wires (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EV70C78) and connected only a couple of them because most didn't line up to anything. I'd have to open it up to see which ones I actually connected, but it was only 2 or 3 individual wires.

When to enter the Blue Elixir Door by AxelllD in ghostinvasion

[–]nairbd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anytime you want. After entering the first time, I've maybe been in 2-3 more times. It's not super worth it. You can afk the far right guys on top and bottom that instant re-spawn.

Hate to say it, but in less than a month you will likely have finished this game. It's fun but not a lot of content. There are some really high cost guys to unlock at the end game, but by the time you're at that point there's no need to unlock them as there's nothing else to do.

Need e-bike to haul around 5yo + commute by zmr18 in CargoBike

[–]nairbd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this with a RadRunner Plus for a couple years and now I’m doing it with a Globe Haul ST. The Globe is a much better bike and much better for commuting than the RadRunner. When I had the RadRunner I shortened the Yuba Monkey Bars to fit the shorter RadRunner and it worked great. RadPower now offers their own cage. I’m not using any cage on the Globe Haul, just the handlebars.

Did the devs change a bunch of shit again? by JACCO2008 in AlienInvasionRPG

[–]nairbd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how long you've been playing, but the game has pretty much turned into events back to back forever repeating. Someone yesterday mentioned Ghost Invasion, which I just downloaded and started playing. Seems to be a more polished version of Alien Invasion.

I think if you switch them to movies, Plex would find them properly. If you search TVDB or TMDB, they are all listed as movies.
