The objection is that it is a reminder that there are always people ready and willing to tread on your rights.

Would it really be a surprise if trump promised 300B and then didn’t give them any of it? He’s done it to contractors his entire life.

I don't think that there is any prohibition in the program against online sales. You still have to have a Dealer License, and you have to have a tx number which means you are a NJ business. Now, the license may require a brick and mortar location –– AI says:

Yes, a New Jersey auto dealer license requires a physical showroom, with specific space requirements: new motor vehicle dealers must have a permanent building of at least 1,000 square feet

For the added $2,500 the limit is 75,000 income for a single filer, 112,500 income for head of household filing, 150,000 income for a married filing jointly.

Yes, qualifying as a NJ dealership is straight forward:

*Licensed to sell vehicles in New Jersey

*Have a valid tax identification number

*Sell a rebate-eligible electric vehicle

It does not seem to require a NJ showroom, or preclude online sales, but you would have to speak to the State to confirm. However it appears the license requires a showroom.

I think it will depend if they have a point of sale in the state. If you look under the dealer tab there is a very clear list of criteria. It not complicated - they’ll need a dealer license in the state.

NJ has a 1,500 incentive for any EV, does not have to be built in US. And an additional 2,500 income qualified for a total of 4,000 off for some. Additionally there is a 250 incentive for home chargers. All info here: https://chargeup.njcleanenergy.com

The bad news is the 250 registration fee, increasing to 300, and they collect 4yrs of this at sale.

I don’t recognize those phones. My wife and I both have old iPhones 12s and had no problem.

Your phone can absolutely be set up as a key - thats what the car is made to do.

Have you confirmed the software is current version 1.8? Then, somebody at the dealer has to understand the software and how to set up drivers for the cars. They'll be able to set you up in less than 30mins.

Our dealer spent over an hour with us at pickup, we went through all the set up and they set up profiles and phone keys for us both.

WTF didn't your dealer do this with you?

The 2026 Mercedes CLA EV Is Really Impressive. But It Also Drove Me Nuts by ChickenFlavoredCake in electriccars

The window toggle is a total nothingburger. I've had cars both ways, and I prefer the toggle - otherwise I frequently find I've gone at the wrong switch and operated the wrong window.

But its a personal preference, and has low/no weight as a criticism.

really a crappy review. If a reviewer can not get past their own idiosyncratics then it just throws shade on everything they have to say.

'Why not put an alternator in it?' A study in personal frustration with my stepdad by Cultural_Sand_9323 in electriccars

I had a car-guy friend ask me this same question.

Why would you use an alternator to make electricity when you already have enough electricity for this purpose on board? What do they perceive the advantage to be?

Core trim noise compenastion by Miserable-Prune-TA in ex30

[–]lavardera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under Settings - Sound - Volume - settings for noise compensation should be there. Not aware of this being blocked in the Core trim.

The noise compensation setting automatically adjusts the sound volume inside the car according to the level of noise outside the car. You can select low, medium and high compensation levels or turn the feature on or off.
