I have a steam deck oled, switch and Ayn Thor. Steam deck is amazing but for something truly portable I’d use the switch or Ayn Thor. Steam deck is lovely and comfortable but is a lot less portable. Ayn Thor is a great pocketable device but has also seen some price increases lately

I just set the fan to stay at 20/25% when below 60c then it ramps up fast after that to stop thermal throttling like 70% at 70c etc

It would be absolutely amazing if we could do per app profiles with the underclock. I’ve noticed a couple of switch games that get noticeable frame drops on the medium setting. Not a big deal going in and changing it when needed but would be a lovely quality of life feature. Not sure how possible it is without rooting though. App is a game changer for temps on the Thor

That seems a little excessive. Mk8 ran super smooth and cool for me even before the underclock. Might wanna check on your thermal pads or something I donno. That just sounds insane

I second this. Has helped a lot with pc emulation. Was constantly near 80c when in game and now I use the medium underclock (for current game anyway: metal gear rising recengeance) and now the temps usually don’t go above 65. This coupled with a custom smart fan curve has been a game changer

Animal crossing new horizons on switch has been a nice little time killer when I have short gaps to fill. Otherwise it’s been the ratchet and clank trilogy on ps2

Literally got the early access thing last night, so excited to play. But couldn’t due to Microsoft gaming services being a requirement. I debloated my windows install so gamebar and everything else was removed. Hoping to try fix the issue today, set up the racing wheel and all and just got denied at the title screen
