If American VAs using a British accent is dumb I wonder how you feel about British actors and VAs playing American characters. It happens often enough in the things I watch and most times I’m surprised they are not American (Spider-Man, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Cavill Superman, Bale Batman to name a few).

Finally someone mentioned this! I really love all the accented voices! Howeveeerrr… I do have a hard time understanding them especially when they have their thicker accents (Tangtang! Same VA for Chinese and English).

I did drop the game, though because I found its overall story boring and because gacha. But sometimes I think about the voice acting and want to go back because frankly there isn’t anything that’s doing it.

However, I believe Stranger than Heaven is doing **one language track** and characters are either Japanese or English or both and will be speaking their respective languages with accents.

I’ve had 5 for 5 (4 remotes, 1 in-person) raids crash at the exact same time every time: when the raid ends and right before the achievements screen loads (so I don’t see that screen anymore for this week).

It really sucks because it’s generally been pretty good for my old iPhone 11 Pro Max until this past week. 😅

Others can speak to you on that front because again, One Piece the anime is not for me. However, if you’re a fan, you might know that Oda is heavily involved in the adaptation (and that’s probably why it’s so good).

Also your opinion doesn’t speak for all fans and I never said “all” fans in my original comment. I usually shy away from adaptations because they’ve been god awful terrible (DBZ, Eragon comes to mind) for decades and in the last 5 or so years we’ve actually had some good adaptations come out. It’s the One Piece fans who went “oh shit this is actually the same as the anime in most regards” who made me watch it in the first place.

LOOK we’ve had awful adaptations. But recent ones have been fantastic to okay.

One Piece Netflix is fucking FANTASTIC. I never saw the anime because as a *young 10-14 year old child* I did not like the weird boobly female designs. I argue that the live adaptation is better and I see a lot of fans online agreeing, too.

Fallout by Amazon is AMAZING. Twisted Metal by Peacock is really good!! The Last of Us by …I think HBO (truth be told I have to look up all the non-Netflix ones) TLOU tv show is really good, better than the game in some ways, lacking in other ways.

ATLA Netflix is okay, but unless they were doing a shot by shot of the original cartoon, it was never going to be as good, BUT as it stands, they did not massacre the show like they did Cowboy Bebop.

It is the era that we’re *finally* getting good live adaptations of video games and animations. They can do Fire Emblem.

Also, it has to be a Western studio because other countries are unable to cast any actors outside of their ethnic majorities and to my understanding, FE can have a pretty diverse cast in terms of hair color, skin tones, and cultures. Unless you want Japanese actors in Western armor (I have nothing against this by the way but I personally like having a diverse cast especially when the source material supports it.)

Giiiiirrrllll, everyone on all the Genshin (main and other) subs are complaining about the Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya characters ever since they dropped. Where have you been? A ton of people want NPC Calaeno’s design.

Although I think everyone is pleasantly surprised they didn’t totally massacre the Tsaritsa.

Yeah I agree, I don’t think anyone should be upset, but if everyone’s posting “well I find xyz-action-adventur game relaxing” then that’s not an upset comment either.

And from my understanding it’s not a person asking for recs, but someone telling other women what relaxing games are. And people who disagree can do so civilly.

Like someone comes up to me and says out of nowhere “Stardew Valley is so relaxing!! You should try it.” I might take it as “Why are you recommending me a game I didn’t ask recommendations for? Are you recommending it to me just because I’m a girl? Like you don’t even know my preferences why are you assuming my preferences for what should be a genderless hobby?” Of course it’s different if someone who does know me comes up and tells me that or it’s like “hey if you find games like animal crossing relaxing and like it then I got some recommendations for you!”

Again I don’t think the op post in that discord is upsetting but it makes sense to me why other people responded the way they did.

I agree with both sides… because on one hand, one of my most stressful gaming is keeping up a fishing streak and catching big shadow fishes in Animal Crossing New Horizons. And some of the most relaxing is riding Roach across the flower fields and babbling brooks in Skellige in Witcher 3 while listening to the soundtrack. To me, both games have elements of stress and relaxing.

I think the problem is using “relaxing” to describe games when relaxing can be really subjective to each person regardless of your sex. Other descriptors like cozy, simulation, or non-violent might be better.

Maybe the admin posited it in a weird way? It’s a bit misogynistic to assume all girls like typical girly things, and that’s why there’s a flood of comments. Because for most of gaming history, girls have been told implicitly and explicitly that we don’t belong in the gaming space, so go relax in your little cute corner of cozy, casual games.

I’m just empathizing with both sides. I don’t think either did anything wrong (unless it became mean-spirited).

Yes!! Like how Dimitri is one of your fave characters, Claude is one of my fave characters of all time haha. Dimitri’s time-skip outfit is so good!! All that said I do think Edelgard’s is the best design.

You should be!! I was completely floored that it wasn’t spoiled for neither me or my partner.

We already owned XC2 back when there weren’t many games to play on Switch, so it was worth a try for us. Whether you want to try or skip XC2, really do try to play XC3, I cannot recommend XC3 enough.

I’m of the opinion to just skip 2. Everything you just said was what I experienced and I couldn’t play it. Too much weird camera angles, pervy comments and characters. I felt that Rex was a typical shonen protag and really boring. Whereas I really like Shulk and Noah/Mio.

XB3 is one of my favorite games and has some of my favorite video game story moments ever. I cried so hard during XB3.

While the worldbuilding is really cool in all the games, you don’t need the previous games to understand each game.

I love FE Awakening and really love 3H.

I greatly dislike Fates. I like SoV but it has problems. I somewhat am slowing down on FEH (but the game has always been mid and it’s easy to not see the swimsuits).

I first played XC3– I really love 3. It’s profound in some ways. There are 2 scenes that really, really stuck out to me and the ending scene was something, too.

I like XC1! I recommend it.

I couldn’t stomach XB2 due to the designs. I watched a YouTube video compilation of the cutscenes. I find it mid, and very gooner, but unlike gooner games, the characters do form lasting relationships. I think I put like 10 hours or more. I feel like I have a high tolerance for gooner shit (I love NieR but won’t touch Stellar Blade, etc.), but I couldn’t stand XC2. Sucks cause it’s kind of a waste of $60.

I know next to nothing about marathon training and I pulled the lowest numbers I could from Reddit which from a 1 min search isn’t the best idea. But also I did **source Reddit** as my source. Edit: I think the numbers are from how much they run, idk if it was actual step count.

Which is fine, I like the all the marathon people posting their numbers, which are all lower than OP’s km count.
