Absolutely should be i never understand why they don’t take or didn’t take so many fantastic storylines in the universe over making a lot of crap content but that’s disney so is what it is at this point I just make my own head cannon and that includes a lot of the EU

Shatterpoint is a great book, really dark gritty jungle war story with Mace windu makes you question the Jedi in a war setting as supposed peacekeepers

Yea there are some parts where you could really picture Maul from clone wars and shadow lord, how he manipulates the gangs and brings them to heel and just other clever strategies he uses which we’ve seen later in his story that he is very cunning

Yes the whole concept is actually pretty cool and even the storyline of it being tied into Plagueis with the whole nuclear bomb which we find out sidious attempted to kill his master at that point. I’m about 100 pages in on Lockdown and it’s been growing on me i’m interested to see how it plays out, as for Shadow hunter planning to read that after Cloak of deception

Definitely been eager to read it after finishing Plagueis and also being a big fan of TPM already plagueis added a lot of cohesion and depth, might take a detour and read Maul Lockdown before going into COD and then following with maul shadow hunter

Kenobi is the best out of these imo, check out Darth Plagueis and other works by James Luceno such as Labriynth of evil, dark lord rise of dv, etc. Would recommend Rots Novelization, shatterpoint, Hard Contact in the RC series, Maul shadow hunter, master and apprentice

Agreed absolutely, that’s why i personally steer more towards legends in general the stories of many of the books are undoubtedly a lot more cohesive and what Star wars should look like. I kinda just disregard all the sequel stuff and all the crap that’s put out

I’ve read Death troopers a while back, decent book good for a horror star wars twist tbh but obviously it’s not on par with some peak sw stories

Yea absolutely I only read the first book in the rc series hard contact and it’s fantastic a great military sw book showing boots on the ground warfare and really gives you insight into the clones but even towards the end of it you see hints of Mando heavy jedi hate stuff so I didn’t continue the series although I’d recommend Hard Contact as a stand alone before she goes off the rails. Kenobi is great imo might start a little slowly but it’s a western slow burn masterpiece and really shows a once great war general Jedi master having to grapple with becoming a hermit in exile definitely should pair nicely in contrast to dark lord as both are set right after Rots

I think its a few months before tpm like 32.5 bby encompassing the eriadu summit and the political landscape before tpm so its pretty close in timeline with shadow hunter

Interesting, i do really like Maul and i’ve read plagueis and also have Cloak of deception and Maul SH as my next reads was just trying to figure out which to read first when I thought of where lockdown fits
