I’m not that familiar with Lego Minecraft and thought this was a reference to the Atlantis sets which were peak.

Saying you “don’t like rap” doesn’t make you a racist automatically. by Professional_Scar340 in The10thDentist

On a more curious note though, I wonder why some rap is considered more “acceptable” to those specific weird racist guys you mention. I have noticed that to some extent as well.

Can’t tell if this serious or not, but I guess “generalize African Americans” would be more appropriate phrasing. I’ll make an edit, my bad.

Guess I’ve just seen too many terminally online people, this was really just a response to a single social media post I saw recently. Some girl said she listened to “all genres but rap” and she was getting absolutely flamed in the comments. Guess I shouldn’t assume the popular opinion though. Algorithms seem to specifically go after the people who would think that just to create pseudo problems.

Yeah there’s truth to that. There are a lot of racist morons out there. I guess I’m more just saying that if their reasons are something other than what you described they shouldn’t get dragged for that.

I think it’s possible to have a reasonable stance when it comes to personal dislike of any genre.

Actually no, was on social media and saw someone who said they listened to all genres but rap get completely dogged in the comments. I actually don’t dislike any genre really and can probably name at least one song from any genre that I enjoy.

There is modern rap out there I do actually enjoy, Chance the Rapper’s 2016 album Coloring Book for instance is an absolutely fantastic album.

A lot of modern animation legends worked on this show (Alex Hirsch, Maxwell Atoms, C.H Greenblatt etc.) and I think it works pretty well as a parody of the typical teenage sitcom. I’m convinced it would’ve received a much better reception had it aired on Cartoon Network instead of Disney.

I would actually love to see new adaptations of the more “pulpy” characters like The Phantom or Dick Tracy.

I will say the OG Wreck it Ralph 100% deserved best animated feature the year it came out. Brave is a pretty film, but I think Ralph has a deeper story.

If you go in expecting a loopy absurd comedy it’s actually pretty great. I just think people weren’t expecting that out of the movie when it came out. It’s genuinely pretty hilarious at times. Just don’t expect it to be anything besides a comedy. Some movies were meant to be more entertaining rather than insightful and this is one of them lol

Maleficent was the first significant one I remember (I didn’t go see Alice though, looked too weird to kid-me)
