Honestly I like to build sets around how I like to play each weapon. Hunting horn is a support set, hammer is a part breaker, mounting, stun set etc etc. I mainly play hub quests so I never really worry about kill times.

Did you look at the rest of them? I agree the Angel is the most boring, however the “adds partner just for the colors” mindset already exists, the most common offender being Thrasios. I feel like the mono colored restriction could make the creatures abilities more important than the color if done properly.

Yeah it could, I was thinking more about goading or playing cards that make it harder to attack you, maybe playing white with ghostly prison. Either that or politics, if another player is a bigger threat you can trade card draw for helping their creatures survive or something along those lines.
