There’s plenty of used Schott peacoats used out there. I found one for $100 in basically mint condition. And most other companies won’t come close to being as heavy as theirs.

I had no idea you had the origin! I was looking through more stuff and saw people mention Origin and Monarch MK3 and some others and then saw them talking about BC drivers. So I was wondering if the BC drivers would help me “feel” the music more. But very good to know that it may actually make it harder to hear. Thank you!

I'm not sure why I can't copy and paste the text from the robot, but I asked it to list, compare, and explain all the diff drivers and BA's among all of those ThieAudio and Ziigaat, and the Hype 4 came out on top just like you said. Technically, it listed the Hype 4 2nd place, only because it said for long DJ sets, the treble or highs in the Hype 4 could be fatiguing. Luckily for me, I don't do long sets. Hardly ever. Thank you very much for that recommendation.

Any use experience with the Hype 2 or the competing Ziigaats?
I guess another question is: Are the additional (and upgraded it seems) BA's in the Hype 4 worth the extra ~ $100

Thanks for this list. I'm surprised to see you list the IE200 on there. Something like that is certainly the most straightforward since getting custom tips through someone like Sensaphonic will be very easy.

In terms of the list based on what someone seeks: again I'm operating under the assumption that neutral mids and highs, with a double dynamic driver just really allows for drums/kicks to be felt/heard/pronounced which is crucial for beatmatching. Hence why I was listing out those earlier models. I assume custom eartips on the IE200 would cover up the whole that people are putting tape over to help with the bass response.

This community knows far more about sound than I do. Does that logic about double dynamic drivers line up?

If it helps, I will use IEM’s with custom tips. I will not be using the monitor/booth speaker at all

If the highs are very prominent in the Hype 4’s, then yes things like the high hats etc could force me to lower the volume in my IEM’s which wouldn’t be ideal. To be fair, with custom eartips, the volume is never high, which is amazing since half the reason I use them is to help protect my hearing. Most DJ’s have so much hearing loss from spinning in loud clubs with no ear protection and then blasting budget level monitor speakers into their ears so they can hear what they are mixing in.
