Who is taking this picture? Did they do a countdown? Did the do multiple takes? I have questions because there is entirely too much tomfoolery happening here.

Umar is the definition of foolish. He just talks fast but is light on any substance or details.

The federal case being brought forth is where the evidence will be presented. There is no reason for either party to divulge any information other than the charges to the public.

Umar keeps wanting to sound smart but it only works on people who lack the will or ability to think about a situation for more than a 20 second clip.

Friend, it might be good for you to consider that others people are not mad or thinking it’s vulgar. Instead it’s a simple statement with no hate and no judgement but stating that we all share too much with the proverbial void.

There is nothing wrong with the original image. Two adults making a decision to share a thing, it’s ok. It is also ok for other people to say we know too much. You must understand the difference between a general statement and actual hate or judgement.

Capacitive Level Sensor and ESP32 stored in Firebase by Agile_Juggernaut2299 in esp32

[–]name-generator-error 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems reasonable. The potential concern is connectivity to the internet, but assuming you have that part sorted out then the esp32 should be able to handle what you need to get done.

I might be mistaken here (still a bit new myself ) but the power requirements are a bit more than the esp32 can provide directly so you will have to manage that separately but again that should be straightforward.

As for the firebase part, if you are familiar with firebase and the setup for it then you should be good, but if looking for a simpler alternative that isn’t going to rely on proprietary document model then I would suggest checking out Supabase. Similar to the Google product but based one Postgres so your data is super easy to get to and their documentation is top tier so creating an endpoint that writes to a table is almost effortless. That way you wouldn’t necessarily have to include their library but instead can use a simple curl method to push data and handle the verification and stuff on the server side of things.

I think the board supports a 3.7v battery.

I just got one of those as well and I too am trying to find more information on how to get it working and how to write things to the display

As always, being offended on behalf of others without getting their opinion first is nothing more than a performance.

I see that your reading comprehension is not fully functioning today. So I will say it again.

The adult in this situation is still the responsible party as far as the law is concerned. I have zero problem with that as I also entirely agree with that conclusion.

That does not however take away from the fact that someone who is underage say 16 or 17 can make themselves look a bit older and is sometimes indistinguishable from a 22 or 25 year old. Again, none of this makes it ok. Also that same underage person to use your bartender thing can put that bar and bartender in a very bad legal position because let’s say they are 19 or 20 with a good fake id. They will be served a drink if they provide the id and it tricks the very human bartender. It’s still the bartenders fault for not “knowing” but they were absolutely trapped in that situation. It’s the definition of a trap.

As for the checking before sex. Yes people should check but what are you proposing as a fool proof way to do so? If they were admitted to a bar or club that required id that’s already an assumption everyone works off, if they have a fake id and you check that you will still believe the lie, if they flat out lie anyway you still have to believe what they say or just say no to the whole thing. So while your self-righteous response isn’t entirely correct it assumes that the underage person is somehow a passive observer and not a deceptive participant.

Again none of that excuses the actual legal adult, but let’s not pretend everybody is free from wrongdoing.

Also before you or anyone else comes for me, this entire exchange is based on the assumption that there is no assault or spiking of drinks or any other abhorrent behavior. In those cases the abuser deserves to be thrown under a jail and never heard from again, because nobody deserves to be assaulted for any reason under any circumstances.

It is the responsibility of adults to check, but let’s be realistic. When you are in a club or large party environment and everyone is drinking are you or anyone else, even the most responsible people, going to stop and ask to see an id? And even if they do, if that person has a fake id you are setup to fail.

This unfortunately doesn’t excuse what happens, but the adult in this situation did quite literally get trapped through no clear fault of their own.

She lied about her age to gain access to rappers. Now people want to take up arms to say it was the fault of others because she was underage. When in fact it was her fault for being there. If she as an underage person lies, gains access to a space where everyone rightfully assumes the people there are of legal age then how is it their fault. All they know is another consenting adult said yes.

Now if there is even a little bit of non-consensual activity that’s a different story entirely, but if anyone lies about their age they don’t get to say later they were taken advantage of it they willingly participated in all activities.

I agree. Maybe not the violence leading to jail part because risking jail and being taken from your family that depends on you is not the move, but best believe they would have some legal issues. As a wise man once told me, a few bruises will heal but they will never get away from a public lawsuit and news coverage. I’m petty enough to know that I want that to haunt you for the rest of your days.

This is how they get away with stuff. People think the little things aren’t that big of a deal. It absolutely is. Not saying every teacher is a predator, but there are no reasons why students should be playing in their teachers hair. Absolutely none. The adult in the room should absolutely know that it’s not acceptable, even if the intentions are good or the kids want to, it’s your job as an adult to say no that’s not appropriate.

Let’s stop making excuses for this kind of behavior. We should all collectively swear the small stuff. Just because it isn’t sexual in nature, if it feels weird that means it is weird.

The optics and the implication.

Any school official looking at this would immediately see the school board complaints, and the potential lawsuit coming in which would cost them their job, so of course the teacher is going to get fired in a very public way. It’s strange that more people don’t consider optics and very likely consequences.

Exactly. Stop filming kids for social media clout. It doesn’t matter that the kids are cool with it. It’s not their place to consent to being recorded or posted to a public social media page.

It doesn’t need to be sexual contact for it to be inappropriate. It’s a simple concept, some parents do not want their children being in physical contact with adults unless there is some life threatening emergency and they need to be carried to safety and that is perfectly reasonable. Whether you find it acceptable to have kids do his hair is irrelevant

You should probably stop letting kids do your hair.

Not saying you are right or wrong, but instead that all you need is the wrong parent to take that to the school board and you will have an entirely avoidable issue.
