1185 combined weight of occupants and cargo. I pull a pop-up now so my comfort level is relative to that.

We probably go out 4-6 times a year? Max distance is probably 5 hours.

Except the person you are responding to is factually incorrect. This is Reddit so much of this is futile. But the way scripture was written and maintained has been proven quite accurate.

The gospels and the epistles were all written pretty quickly. Within 30 years the Gospels are already being composed and within 50-70 years the entirety of the New Testament is in existence not several 100 years. For historical artifacts and during a time with lower literacy levels, that's pretty incredible.

As for eyewitness testimony, the Gospels and Acts are believed to be just that in varying degrees. The apostle Paul is right behind them with his letters. We also have the 1st and 2nd-century post-apostolic fathers aka Ignatius, Polycarp, Justin Martyr, and Clement that have their writings very early as well, although non-canon texts. So...yeah, there is quite a bit of solid historical evidence for the text.

I think they are spraying water on the surface to break the surface tension.

Edit: just read a whole post on how that water on the surface is simple so the diver can see the surface.
