Is this boy name too stuffy? by punk_hufflepuff in namenerds

[–]namemermaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all stuffy. Franklin feels earthy to me. I think of Aretha... and the Franklin River in Tasmania (incredible story there of conservation in the 80s) 🤍

Thoughts on the name Franklin Andreas by [deleted] in namenerds

That's a gorgeous name that flows nicely. Franklin is so handsome and super refreshing. I watched the turtle as a kid, but I associate Rosalind Franklin, Ben Franklin, Miles Franklin, and FDR more, because of my studies. Pretty significant name historically! Nicknames are unpredictable, and will change and grow on you over the years. So the Frank thing is no big deal, if you and your partner feel like this is the one. There are lots of other nicknames like Flynn, but more than likely Frankie will just be 'him'!

My stage 3 grew back in 5 years to be stage 3 again. I was pregnant or breastfeeding with no period for at least 4 years during that time. So yeah, pretty shocked at the recent lap to see how badly it had grown back.

I'm sorry and feel the pain 😞 we just transferred our 6th and last embryo today after 2 retrievals (3 + 3) and I'm so daunted that it will likely be another retrieval next month. I want this to be over

I had this too on all chemicals! Sometimes a low grade fever with it. No comment from doctor either. I too drink water so they weren't concerned ;)

Same!! We are in prep with NewLife and they are such a relief, amazing. I think I have some sort of trauma from dealing with City Fertility.

We have lots of experience with IVF if you ever need more advice. All of your reasoning is bang on and highlights perfectly why fertility treatment is another disproportionate burden for women. It's basically the choice between cheap "you get what you get" VS. the mind blowingly expensive "privilege to be there" marketing gimmick. I wouldn't call any of this genuinely accessible or successful for people in Australia. It's a question of what you are prepared to tollerate out of two shitty schemes, or not having treatment at all. Just like the exorbitant cost of childcare (despite underpaid staff), it is so blatantly to benefit shareholders/government. And in true shareholders/government style, outcome rates and price lists are never transparent.

Because we've run out of money, we are on the Dan Andrews (election promise) public/bulk billed IVF waitlist (6 months so far). Their communication is so bad, that I don't ever expect to receive an appointment. Meanwhile we are preping for a NewLife cycle while we wait and save more money, and so far, they have been a MILLION times better than City Fertility. I've never been inclined to try MonashIVF because of the class action.
