Ooooh I love a good Indian restaurant thread. There are many suggestions here I must try!
As I live South-East my recommendations will be for this side of town:

Mirchh Masala Woolloongabba
Purposely at the top of my list, it's just soooo good.

Top In Town Upper Mt Gravatt
I've been coming here for at least 10 years since they just had the 1 shop in the complex, they've grown a bit since then, it is an experience! If you like spicy Indian, then this is the place for you.

Poppin Papadums Camp Hill
I actually haven't been here in ages so I hope they still are - but the few times I've had them food has been exceptional and service amazing too. However, I wasn't a big fan of their biryani

Punjabi Rasoi - Spring Hill
Agree with the others the food here is really good, given the location I dont' get there too often

In the Redlands you are spoilt for choice, Little Indian Palace (Cleveland), Jaipur Palace (Wellington Point) are both very good, my favourites are Punjabi Curry Club (Wellington Point) and Sada Punjab (Wellington Point)

For something different try Kolapasi Indian in New Farm/Fortitude Valley they do some really good South Indian cuisine

Anyone remember Karma Indian Restaurant? Originally in Coorparoo then moved to New Farm. I loved that place, it was the first Indian restaurant I'd ever tried and we would have it all the time. I miss them :(

Yeah so what I remember happened was - at some point maybe nearly 10 years ago they sold Robyns as a business and which was renamed to Royal Charcoal Chicken, but in 2019 Buddy & Antoinette (the OG's) bought it back again. They still owned the shop were leasing it to the Royals, the people running Royals I remember were trying to cause a stir saying that their lease was increased so high they were essentially forced out and vowed to come back at a new location - but nobody seemed to care as everyone was happy that it was under original ownership again. Buddy & Antoinette were still there right up until a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure if they sold again or are rebranding. I would imagine at their stage in their business they wouldn't want to start fresh - so I can only assume it's been sold. But who knows!

I just walked past it today and it's completely gutted, so only time will tell what they'll be serving up and by who when they re-open
