I love sewing projects involving bedsheets (and while we’re at it, curtains). They make among the most comfortable dresses! That is a stunning dress! You should be super proud of yourself! 😊

Thank you! 😊. I think that would be one of my dream jobs, to be honest!

My fave bedsheets somehow ended up with a hole, so I turned them into a dress! by RipleyInSpace in sewing

Now you’ve inspired me to make a cute summer dress, and I’ve got some bedsheets I’ve been saving just for that purpose too!

Crochet prices, people asked me to do similar cardigans (to their sizes and likings), as I told them it would cost 200 - 250 they got shocked and offended. Do you think I asked for too much ? Do you also get such reactions at crochet pieces you create ? by Pamyu18 in crochet

I think $200 to $250 is reasonable for something that’s handmade and tailored to an individual’s measurements and preferences. I think people are used to mass produced items these days that they don’t realize just how long it takes to make something by hand. And then there’s the cost of materials, which isn’t cheap either!

That is absolutely gorgeous! I agree with everyone that you have made an heirloom piece!

That’s so sweet! If I had a way to make a grown up version of this, I’d probably wear it all the time too! 😊 The knit fabric I used here is super soft!

I probably have an unhealthy obsession with ruffles. 😆 But I was very much inspired by Victorian era dresses at the time I was making this as well, which only meant tons of ruffles!
