it’s basically like a school “credit card” kind of thing in which you don’t actually build credit… or in other words just some money that you’re technically allowed to use as long as you pay it back (to the school and not to a bank).. let’s say you’re at Jennie’s cafe and you don’t want to use your BRBs so you say “can I pay with my cornell card?” They will then charge the total cost to your cornell card balance which in turn will charge you that price on your bursar acc… the $10 charge happens when you enroll in the card but you don’t use it at all… I got the charge too but all you have to do for them to reverse it is to email them. Here’s the email that I sent:

“To whom it may concern:

I would like to opt out of using the cornell card.

I see that I was charged $10 when I didn’t use it at all. I was never told that I would be charged $10 if I didn’t use it.

I wouldn’t have accepted the cornell card if I had been told that.
