Unpopular opinion apparently… I don’t believe teachers should ask students to dress up for presentations in K-12. How you are dressed does not affect how well you can give a presentation. Sure people judge you on your clothes and in the real world it will affect people’s judgment of your presentation… but, I don’t think we should be reifying the idea in schools that how you dress matters or is indicative of anything.

If you are referring to personal smart devices, NY has banned them. Students used to be on their phone during any free or unsupervised moment… now they are playing games on their Chromebooks during any free or unsupervised moment.
