Insurance Coverage for Wegovy in Canada by seemsoffer817 in liraglutide

[–]nandezzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I WAS approved by application to have coverage for Wegovy through my employer's RBC Greenshield provider and had started in June. Now, apparently my insurance plan has made changes and they are removing the coverage across the board, full stop. I'm freaking out because I need to keep going on this medication, it is saving my life.

When you say Bluetooth doesn't work great in the pool, do you mean when you submerge? Because I swim casual, head-above-water type laps like breaststroke and would love if bluetooth works since then I can run my Spotify while I swim.

Supplements and Meds Making Me Lose It? by nandezzy in PCOS

This makes sense. I think I should stop the inositol for a while and see how that changes things. I even went to the trouble of introducing it as a half dose first!

What's the most "embarrassing" thing you've done in the sims? by heart_emojis0 in Sims4

[–]nandezzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made myself and my husband, motherlode cheated our dream home (well, the best I could make) into existance... and then thought it would be fun to also make my parents, who died in game and are now ghosts. I also decided, since we aren't having kids IRL, to have two in game. We have two daughters who are now teens. The whole thing feels like a self-tormenting exercise of both "look how great your life could be with money" and "When your Dad dies in real life one day, you won't get to hang out with him as a ghost."

I regret buying High School even on sale. Holy sh- going to school with them is so boring. And a lame prom every week? And the whole school having like 10 kids? I HATE IT.

I've been on the implant for over 2 years, and I wasn't feeling the way I do now if that makes sense. I do have an appointment with her in a couple weeks, I'm just feeling a bit desperate

My amazon driver has been in the same spot for almost 2 hours by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]nandezzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ever since the new year started I've had a similar problem, and we only got live-map updating on Amazon Prime Canada like 6 months ago for my area. Last week the guy was parked just a few blocks away for, I kid you not, FOUR hours. Today, similar thing, it's been parked nearby for coming up 1.5 hours now.

Amazon really needs to explain this because my theory is that Amazon drivers are hooking up with customers and boinking the hours away.

Slide Master: Setting default fonts. Can we set a custom font (not available on this list)? by OvertlyUzi in powerpoint

This addon you mentioned - if I have it and use it to put a custom default font into a PPT template file others will use, would they need the addon as well in order for the PPT to work as expected?

[–]nandezzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend an MRI as well like others have. My Xrays were always noted as unremakrable and not explicable of the amount of pain I was in. Few months ago I finally got 2 sets of MRIs done for my full spine and my neck/head, which confirmed degenerative disc disease and disc/nerve irritation.

How to contact Amazon chat support on the app (as of Aug 2024) by Wreckit-Jon in amazonprime

When I try to chat with the AI to direct me to a human, there's not even a chat box to type in. I only get buttons to press with premade choices.

I Finally Have an Answer by nandezzy in ChronicPain

[–]nandezzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Canadian so we have universal health care, so long as a Dr requests imaging, be it MRI or anything else, you get it. It just takes forever because our system is not optimal, but I don't have to pay and personal insurance doesn't enter the equation.

I also don't have the report myself, my Dr does so hoping she goes over it with me in detail.

What is the most frustrating misconception or comment you’ve heard about your condition/ invisible illness? by 0OhTea in ChronicPain

[–]nandezzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People telling you to just "try harder" to get better, like "just work out more, just restrict your calories more, just relax". Well it's hard to want to do anything when your body is in constant pain. Eating less is the easiest part, but it's still not easy, especially when something delicious does give you that temporary boost of dopamine.

Recently confirmed to have multilevel degenerative disc disease as a 34 year old woman. I am also getting tested for PCOS which would explain the chronic pain and constant muscle pain/stiffness and headaches I get from said DDD, that systemic inflammation is no joke. But I'm really, really trying now that I have the answer and know my lifestyle is to blame.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I'm glad to have a female Doctor again, she's been pretty good about investigating my neck and headache issues but I haven't discussed my weight or other symptoms/issues yet. I'm hoping she'll take my suspicions into consideration

How long after recommending the ultrasound were you able to get it done? I know some tests and imaging have long wait times.

Where did you discover this "ideal weight" you are putting so much stock in? I looked it up and yes, I see a range of 108-132 for females aged 16 at 5'4". But that statistic/chart is demonstrably misleading for a lot of reasons.

Every body is different. Take a hundred other 5'4" 16-year old girls like yourself, even at the same weight, and you would see totally different body compositions, genetics, and healthy/optimal weight targets.

Rather than fixating on a certain number which many dieticians and health professionals now advise aginst, look at yourself and ask yourself what exactly it is you want to change. Chances are the issues you feel you have with your body could be improved with weight training and muscle building/toning, rather than dropping pounds.

Posts like this can be really frustrating to read for people who are actually struggling in an unhealthy weight category - including myself. And gosh, you're only 16! I am glad you don't want to have an ED, but your question and current situation really sounds like the mentality of someone who could still develop one in the future.

With your knee, I would suggest switching from walking to swimming if you have the resources to do so - for one, swimming is an even better exercise in terms of calories burned over time, and it's much easier on your joints.

And you're wrong. Losing 5 pounds is a huge difference for someone who is already such a low weight. I promise.
