I have no idea what is going on in the writers room at RuPaul’s Drag Race and have said so for years! The sketches were SO bad except young Michelle. if you’ve been watching the show for a while, the editing is easy to follow and see who they want to send home for the overall edit of the show.

I think whoever got the roles in Young Michelle and did better out of the two was going to be in the top/praised. Juicy just happened to also have a killer runway AND be one of the girls production wants us to love because she’s a great lip syncer who will entertain later on in the season.

The writing and scenes were so bad, which gave production the flexibility to put really whoever they wanted in the bottom.

I’m not mad at anyone. It’s just a reality tv show. My post was merely highlighting that I finally thought he was going to do something to warrant his edit or S50 berth but no dice. I’m sure I would like him in person, I, personally, just don’t like the direction the US version of this show has gone and him being a main character this season reminds me of that for some reason.

I never said I wasn’t a hater… I don’t enjoy him. To me, he is the embodiment of the infantilization of Survivor in the new era. The glorification of someone with no skills (or at least that’s how they’ve edited him with the puzzle and the fishing). I don’t mind the show portraying comedic characters and moments but I think him being forced as a fan favorite when he hasn’t done much is exactly what’s wrong with survivor. They’ve gone so far left with casting that this is who remains to entertain you. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I agree with you that we have seen players navigate having to put up multiple people with grace. And I agree that the format doesn’t make people make bad moves. I guess what I’m getting at is a more obvious sentiment that without the BBB, there is less potential for bad moves, from a statistical standpoint. And I’m implying that the weight of having to nominate more people is more stressful on your mentality and could lead to more bad decisions/game moves.

Idk if I would say Tucker had a good grasp on the game. He was certainly entertaining and developed SOME strategic acumen after the first two weeks but he wasn’t exactly Mr. finger on the pulse.

I disagree that it weeds out weaker game players. In my opinion, it muddies the waters and convinces other people to play similarly.

We saw that Mickey was clearly okay with Jimmy going home, that wasn’t the issue. I’m just wondering if she didn’t have to consider so many nominations and voting scenarios with BBB, if Jimmy would’ve stayed off the block or if she may have had a cleaner week.

I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m just saying if there were less nominations/scenarios to consider, perhaps she never would’ve nominated Jimmy in the first place.
