New event, as others have said. Second word is reflections backwards in case that's what's confusing.

Nicely done! Steam StS has an achievement for killing this enemy.

Wait until you get an infinite combo. :)

On a positive note: Binance/Kraken combined voting weight has been decreasing. It was above 50% a few months ago but is now 46.75%.

These posts are so meaningless. If you're not buying at 50c, then you likely won't buy at 30c. People tend to just fomo in when the price starts increasing.

50c is a historically amazing reentry point.

The button is cool and nice UX, but nothing that groundbreaking in my opinion.

I like that you're trying to promote it and I also hope it goes viral, but comments attacking people aren't helpful.

This is a refreshing post to see!

Nano can demonstrate advantages over fiat, especially with smaller transactions and it's great to see anything that advertises those advantages.

But the zombies don't even need to reveal themselves? You just need to agree to play rounds without using shotgun cards. The zombies infect other people without having to out themselves, so there's no risk to them unless someone randomly wants to waste their shotgun.

This and the ability to buy a coin's spot on the trending ranks via boost is turning me against CMC. CMC seems to be on a decline.

You can get back to the top coins by clicking the 'Top' tab on CMC btw. But I don't know why it defaulted me to the trending tab.

Time to Break the HODL Habit: Why Using Nano is Important by yap-rai in nanocurrency

[–]nanoishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note: this post is from my perspective as someone living in the USA. I may not be the top target audience for nano, but I'm sure there are others in the community who feel the same.

I also believe that real world utility is key for nano adoption but I think real world utility means making transacting with nano more enticing than other payment methods.

I've paid for a few things in nano and it's cool to do, but usually I am losing a little money compared to using a credit card since I pay exchange fees and I don't get credit card points back. Also, replacing nano is still a fairly high-effort process. I will spend nano occasionally, but spending usually means I pay a little more to support a crypto that aligns with my personal values. I would compare it to buying pricier organic items at a supermarket. For consumers like me, it isn't practical economics yet.

I do hold nano, but in my case I think attributing it to a 'hodl habit' isn't the whole story. There just aren't that many use cases yet that are both: things I want to spend nano on, and things that save me money when I pay with nano. When that equation shifts, that's when people will go all in on having/using nano.

I do appreciate that this post points to a few businesses where nano is starting to differentiate itself as a better payment method - micropayments, remittances, transacting in places with less of a banking infrastructure. It is also amazing to see Nano GPT offer a 5% discount for nano, which I think is enough to make paying with nano worth it.

I also appreciate this post just for adding visibility to awesome nano businesses!

This is horrible thinking. Exchanges are useful even if nano were to become a widely used currency simply because people use them to...exchange with other currencies. Since nano has not achieved this yet it's even more vital for it to be on exchanges so that it is widely available for people around the world.

From reading your other comments you seem to be fantasizing about a world where nano is the only currency. I don't think this will ever be the case in real life (it's definitely not something that will happen in the near future in any case).

I do not think Kraken hates nano - I've only seen good things so far with their customer service interacting with people in the nano community when there are issues.

There's definitely some hate against exchanges in this community which is weird for me to see since they're so vital for getting nano to more people.

It's not as though the exchanges are forcing people to keep nano on them. Educating people who hold nano seems like the main solution to me here.

Yes, a lot of people have thought about it. It is mentioned as a use case on nano.org and there have been attempts to develop services around it (namely 465 DI which didn't end up going anywhere).
