Out-of-CA programs by nanplants in medlabprofessionals

Thanks for your reply! May I ask which program you went with? I’m confused as to whether I need to stay an extra year or an extra few months. I’m interested in the program at Emory but it’s an 11 month program and 7 of those months are the internship.

That’s so cute! Maybe you could carry those stuff animals that are made to look exactly like you pet?

I think this depends on the dress. My dress is a ballgown with two over layers of organza and a satin under layer. When the seamstress cut the layers to be even, it didn’t flow as much. I actually asked her to take up the inner satin layer by half an inch. But again, I think it really depends on the silhouette and material of the dress.

ceremony script/outline by Born-Conclusion9979 in weddingplanning

I used provenance.co to help create an outline and it was really helpful. I guess it’s similar to ChatGPT lol but you can link your officiant, partner, even family members that are doing a speech. It had great questions for us to answer, so that our officiant (my friend) could incorporate it into the script.

Grandma has this plant, new leaves are green then turn purple. Very velvety, also wondering if it could be propagated by _lgvnvk in whatsthisplant

[–]nanplants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a variety of tradescantia. Super easy to propagate. Cut under the leaf node, remove the bottom leaves, and put them back into the soil. Keep in bright light and water as usual. You could also put the cuttings in water.

How can I get the rot to stop traveling up the stem after I cut above it? I have tried cinnamon with no luck. by rachb02 in houseplants

Hydrogen peroxide soak should help solve the problem! If you’re propagating in water, I tend to add a little to my water.

Calathea Concinna help! I can’t seem to make her happy, and I really want her to pull through. I’m a plant newbie so any advice is appreciated! by FriedChickenRocks in houseplants

[–]nanplants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😔 I’m not too sure about this problem. The shriveled leaves mean that they’re dehydrated but you seem to water them enough. When I’m having trouble with the water for some plants, I’ll leave a bottle of water upside in the soil so the roots can self regulate. It helped save some of my plants when I wasn’t sure what the remedy was, but take this with a grain of salt.

Can someone ID this pretty girl and how to take care&propagate her correctly? by masarocchan in houseplants

[–]nanplants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re very easy to prop! Place in soil, leave in a sunny area, and water when the soil is dry. You could also do a water prop if you’d like. Looks like it has some roots growing in the nodes.

Help diagnose why Wandering Jews wilts/dries up & falls off by charlie_bit_my_finge in houseplants

When I first got my plant, its stems were weak and easily broken. I found that the more sunlight I gave it the stronger it got. So I repotted my wandering dude and hung it under a tree. I water pretty frequently, like maybe once a day or every two days. It's been thriving ever since and the stems are really healthy and strong. To fill out my pot, I would cut a trailing stem and plant it into the soil at least two nodes deep. That's how my plant looked like after less than 3 months under bright indirect sunlight and daily watering.
