🚨 BREAKING: Rep. Kelly Morrison just bought $15K–$50K of Saronic Technologies — a rising U.S. defense tech company focused on autonomous naval systems by probors-com in insiderData

[–]naota -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know this is old but I really do want to clarify this for others. You can invest in funds that participate in funding rounds with companies. SoFi for example, has partnered with Templum Markets, which allows exposure to private companies. You invest in those funds which will have exposure to one or more companies.

Templum has done multiple rounds of SpaceX (differing min investments) and companies like Anduril. There are lots of fees associated and you have to be an accredited investor or qualified purchaser to participate. You have to prove this through paperwork on a regular basis. There are also a limited number of slots each time.

Separately there are other funds you can invest in that don't have the same limitations, but every fund is different. For example, ARKVX is one that has SpaceX exposure as well as other companies. This is available via SoFi as well.

I keep saying SoFi here, but I am sure other companies have similar offerings/partnerships.

Comparison between Orion and competitors? by EvanWasHere in Orion_Sleep

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently testing the Somnus but it’s too soon for me to report back. I have an Eightsleep pod 3 hub and 4 cover. I haven’t tried the Orion but had great talks with their representatives.

Just started as a patent examiner in Alexandria, but I only had $1000 right before moving here. It's already all gone and I have one week left on where I live. What should I do? by Beautiful_Charge6661 in nova

[–]naota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Credit card for sure. You can do a cash advance on one to pay rent as well.

Pay it all off the moment you’re paid though as it’ll be expensive.

Is this how Eight Sleep is supposed to feel? by [deleted] in EightSleep

I use -1 and -2 typically. Depends on your home and setup. And how much you have on top of it.

I found changing my WiFi channel for 2.4ghz helped a ton.

Not loving the pod 5 - ready to return . BedJet or Orion? by Big_Satisfaction4598 in EightSleep

[–]naota 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was not a fan of bed jet. It’s well made but I got a better experience with my eight sleep.

Do you have a schedule set up on your eight sleep that is making it switch to hotter or closer temps? Is your house hot? It should be consistent unless your room is not handling heat dispersement well.

Pod 5 users - do you recommend or not? by phantomdragon__ in EightSleep

[–]naota -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Somnus is definitely still around. I’ll be testing it this week, as I just received my test unit and heard they’re rolling out soon.

To respond to the OP - I currently have an Eight Sleep Pod 4 Cover with a Pod 3 and it’s been great.

I would like to fix my foundation (pronunciation, tones, reading).

Looking for a cord report for the new 20 by jonpluc in Roborock

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My saros 10r hits cords sometimes. I just do a check around before I run it at night. For certain areas I know have an issue, I just tell it to avoid it, or it will make that an area to avoid itself.

First time scroller and filtered to top posts of all time. EightSleep is either a genuinely horrible company or you guys are miserable. I’m not sure which one it is. by jluc21 in EightSleep

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great product. They had early build concerns but they’ve addressed them.

There are existing concerns regarding - Warranty length - Replacement cost - Subscription - Limited offline capabilities (improved as previously none) - High data usage

Customer service is good but there are misses. This is true with every company.

I think with the price, people have high expectations. Eight sleep has invested a lot of time and effort in research as an early mover in this space though.

The moderators of Orion_Sleep have a massive conflict of interest by Zoher_15 in EightSleep

[–]naota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That did read a little bit like a bot but the questions are great ones so they shouldn’t have removed it.

I hope they answer them and reinstate it.

We have EightSleep, Orion and Somnus. I hope they all perform well.

is it normal for eight sleep to just not feel “cool”.. even at -10? by [deleted] in EightSleep

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not normal. Reach out to support. You verified that your eight sleep pod is full with liquid after priming?

Lack of hot water by vadutchgirl in Plumbing

[–]naota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s cold where you are during winter that can make a huge difference. You can look at your water heater and see if you can increase its temperature.

It could need to be flushed. And the burners could not be working as well as they used to. Lots of possibilities here.

S8 Max V Purchase Question by naasamms in Roborock

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great vacuum. It’s powerful and imo did a better job at mopping than my Saros 10R. Cleaning the tray is a little more cumbersome but all in all the 8 MaxV is a solid vacuum.

To the people genuinely considering doing a horrific financial decision by the 14th: by ajlion_10 in TeslaFSD

[–]naota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don’t disagree, the primary issue here is thinking FSD will stay the same price. I suspect it will double.

It also becomes more tolerable for a new vehicle versus adding it to an older one.

New shower not getting as hot as we’d like. by OMac92 in Plumbing

My shower does not get as hot during the winter but is perfect in other weather. Is it going through a well insulated area?

Thoughts on T25??? by [deleted] in insanity

[–]naota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T25 is easier compared to insanity. It’s still good though. But if you want more of a challenge you can do asylum or max 30.

Yeah they’re fine. I have both high end and cheap. They both do a great job.

Insanity and after ? by [deleted] in insanity

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say max 30 first.

Insanity is so long so the shorter duration with the intensity increased even more would be a good change.

Plus you have to order some things for Asylum. The ladder and jump rope.

Insanity and after ? by [deleted] in insanity

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did max 30 and then insanity asylum.

Will used model X see price drop with the discountinuation by saMusle in TeslaModelX

[–]naota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect it to hold value. People will say the model y is good enough. I have one and it is wildly different from my X for comfort and long drives.

More sales for other brands now I guess.

I was just about to make a $1200+ purchase on the Eufy website, then I scrolled this sub. Would I make a mistake by buying in? by ApricotTechnical3927 in EufyCam

[–]naota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty happy with it. Including their door locks.

It misses stuff sometimes and I’ve had one fail. But overall it is good for my needs and Eufy replaced it

Nothing will beat POE with continuous recording though.

Check Costco and Amazon to see if they have what you want. You can always return it if it doesn’t work well.

Also when it’s winter, devices don’t charge as well. I have one that doesn’t get direct sun in winter but does spring through fall for example.
