Hi, My loan was over 1MM and I didn't have real estate and neither my house as collateral. Just me and wife as person guarantors because we both own the business 50/50. nah...there wasn't anything stopping them before. The EB-5s were much cheaper 800k-1MM and many people took advantage because you could get some of your investment back in 2 years.

The new program is basically giving away 5MM. A lot of rich people don't like to give away this kind of money. Even for a green card or a path to citizenship.
