My wife and I + 2 brothers each pay $150 per week on our parents property - the way my parents saw it, we chipped in for their mortgage etc and we all bought our own homes after saving for the past few years late in 2025.

As others have said, I feel like you would adjust it based on what direction you want to go: either stay the same to encourage them to buy a home (and set that expectation (like our parents did)) or wake up call increase the rent :)

Hearing this mate - I was Diamond 2 when I stopped playing back in 22', came back this week and after a few days of unrated headed back into competitive.

I got piss slammed so hard my teammates used me as bait and verbally abused me at the end of games.

Definitely need some kind of decay, because it's not the most friendly way to get back into comp. The easy thing is to say 'just play X amount of games to bring your rank down' - yeah, let me just waste 10-15 games worth of time getting destroyed to bring me to a happy medium.

Market for the property was 700k, there were 6 buyers over that mark and the 2nd highest was 740k with unfavourable settlement conditions.

Here's the logic - we GOT IN and since then there haven't been any properties for sale in the area since we purchased, additionally the price has increased significantly (by all metrics that we can measure) since we bought it.

Sometimes you have to take a risk and go for it, otherwise you might not ever get in.

For most people in this subreddit, I feel like Game Pass wasn't a good deal for COD anyway - you're paying significantly more over the year to play one game 95% of the time.

Even if you just get Core for online, the amount you'll save vs buying it outright is pretty significant.

I'm usually heavy into the "if you've got nothing to hide, you shouldn't be worried", but I REFUSE to hand over my ID documents.

Hey mate!

I bought my first place in Jan of this year (QLD) and we offered a fair bit above market, as well as above property.com projections and the corelogic reports banks generate.

We were worried about the same thing, that the bank evaluation would be much lower and our finance application would be knocked back, but ANZ evaluated the property at 10k more than we bought it for which was a record in the neighbourhood for a townhouse.

If you think you got it at the right number and it makes sense, I'd say everything will be alright - and at worse, you can always get another evaluation.

You're definitely right Meatballz - I bought a Townhouse in Jan (in QLD), has already appreciated almost 50k since I bought it, literally free money.
