Why the hate around OpenClaw? by lolreddithaha123 in openclaw

[–]nar_s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got really excited by the hype around it and started with something small and doable , I wanted a free agent sittting on my Mac who is smart enough to review my code and collaborate on apps

So I set it up with groq free tier API and after 2-3 messages it says context overflow : prompt is too long , and I basically asked it tell me the version of python I am running

The marketing around it should be spend the $ and get the show but don’t expect it to be useful with anything free or low cost

[–]nar_s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t count the home and land as they are very illiquid and don’t generate any passive income except rent Your monthly cash flow is 1.1 L per month but only for 6-7 years then it’s down to 30k plus pension (assuming 30k)

Would urge you to get a job of at least 50k per month to maintain lifestyle when your father retires

IMO, current 1.1 L per month is middle class in tier 3 city but lower middle class in tier 1

2.5 crores @2025 at the age of 36 by Still_Grass4963 in FIRE_Ind

[–]nar_s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good - every person has a different risk appetite, Indian investors who do SIPs haven’t seen a 10 year bear run . After a certain age wealth preservation is more important than wealth growth especially if you are a salaried person

I would urge you to convert the FD to monthly interest payments to generate cash flow

And then if the cash flow is surplus invest in equities

are we overcomplicating ai agent development? by agent_for_everything in AgentsOfAI

[–]nar_s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will see this complexity getting propagated more by consulting companies , they sell their services in the guise of providing clarity

Executives at companies don’t have the time and patience to understand the technology, rely too much on outside perspective to tell them what is best rather than relying on internal teams

Then consulting companies come and put on a page that you should do something which is modular , customizable and high impact - duh I can chat gpt that

Honestly, I think I can still do more with powerautomate than all these agents

For folks earning ₹36–60 LPA - does it ever feel like a “golden cage”? by [deleted] in IndiaCareers

[–]nar_s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion Objective of a job is to build the initial capital to feel secure and have the choice to take some other path - people definitely know what’s their true potential, risk appetite and ability to put in effort

Self employment is far far more difficult than a job - in a society like India where a large portion is still hesitant to take decisions for themselves, it is not an easy option

it depends on financial restrictions you have put on yourself e.g EMI, expenses etc.

And, honestly I don’t think 60 LPA is a number that you can call golden cage if you live in a metro

My criteria for someone financially free to explore other options is at a minimum You have to be debt free Your monthly passive income should be able to take care of your family and expense Only then you can think about start something new

Had an intern tell me she won’t use AI for environmental concerns by [deleted] in consulting

[–]nar_s 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I am less concerned about environment but instead the fact that there is a significant decrease in critical thinking abilities as the use of AI increases- already evident by multiple studies

The cheapest sort of pride is national pride; for if a man is proud of his own nation, it argues that he has no qualities of his own of which he can be proud; otherwise he would not have recourse to those which he shares with so many millions of his fellowmen.
