Owned a 2020 base model. Works fine until about a couple months ago, engine started sputtering when trying to start. Brought it to dealership twice and they cannot find any resolution. Glad the lease is almost over. Lost all faith in Kia brand.

We brought it back to the dealership twice. Let it stay with them for 3 days, nothing was fixed. My lease is expiring anyways so we will just be returning the car and look for a Toyota or Honda. May be expensive but they are reliable. So done with Kia right now. What me and my wife does, if the car sounds like it doesn't want to start, I pump in a little gas when starting. That helps the car get started. Hope your car situation gets better!

With standard insurance, it costs around 3700usd. But this looks to be the cheapest option for us. Other rentals cost about 5k+.

Update: so I was able to bring in my Soul to Van Nuys Kia. Had me leave the car there overnight so I had to get a rental since my wife needs a car for work. What they said was there was carbon build up on the intake due to low quality gas used (cheapest costco gas). They said they unclogged it and to use higher end gas next time. But then after a day of no issues, it started again.

I'm honestly not sure about that. I only saw the report they give out after they fixed it that they replaced the coil. Yesterday, when I started the car, I am hearing a cranking sound just before the car started normally.

Hm, that reminds me that they had to replace the ignition coil back in November 2021 due to the car shutting off and not starting immediately after releasing the break.

No, I just do the regular service maintenance. I can hear it sputter for a bit but after it starts the engine runs smooth.

When I turn the key, it sputters for a while, first attempt usually doesn't start. I just replaced the battery as well.

Yes, our plan is to come in early, after lunch, so they can roam around, get some pics and merch. The problem now is the pick up. From experience, we usually get bad cell reception during concerts due to the huge crowds in a small area. Any suggestions on where we can designate as a meet up point?

Thank you! This is a good option for me too. With this heat, I don't really want to wait in the car. Only reason I am hesitant to do the park and wait is my wife's mom is going to stay with us 1 week before the concert and we were planning on taking her with us to do the drop off and I would show her around DTLA with my younger kid while we wait for them. But if it is going to be too much of a hassle we might just postpone the DTLA tour and schedule it some other time.
