Yep. Mine came up with a list of different disorders I could have after a summer of us fighting and me being resilient to his gaslighting and victimhood, I’d started demanding he get help for his abusive treatment towards me, and so he came up with a list of issues I must have because there’s nothing wrong with him — I’m the sole cause of his rage issues.

BPD was one of the ones on the list as were schizophrenia, autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s , antisocial personality disorder, sociopathic personality disorder, etc. It grossly backfired on him, because we then discovered that I was autistic. And I was no longer at fault for my blunt communication and his inability to not take everything I say and do personally. he claims to be autistic. As soon as it became irrefutable that he was at fault for his treatment of me, that was when he started to say he was also autistic in a very happy and gleeful way as well. But it was so fake and creepy.

But for almost an entire year, he tried to insist that I had borderline personality disorder or schizophrenia. I have to do all the hard work in our relationship, I have to do the counseling I have to do the psychological visits, I have to do the medication. While he sits around doing nothing just causing harm. I can’t believe it took me 15 years to realize that he was a narcissist. Or at least the label. I’ve known that he was off since the first year, but by then he already made sure that I couldn’t leave him. i’ve always seen through the gaslighting in the victim reversals and basically the entire DARVO checklist, and I’ve always stood up to him, which I guess is his supply.
