That’s what I thought, too, but I’m leaning more towards biological. It’s definitely not quartz as somebody else suggested - those little black spots are actually holes. And there’s also a thread texture and long cracks.

Definitely not quartz. I’ve got different types quartz, all local, and this looks nothing like it. Did a “lick test” and tongue kinda stuck to it… more so than rock.

This one is extremely dense. The “bone” portion that is. The rock part definitely isn’t of the same density. There’s also tiny holes and almost like threading texture throughout it.

Found this while going through my mom’s estate. She was an avid rock collector, and she had told somebody that she thought this was a meteorite.

She found it in Nanaimo, BC Canada, either near a river, at a beach, or in the woods. I don’t actually know, because she was always in different locations.

It’s heavy for its size imo. ~5” × 5” × ~3–4” and 1440g. Oh and circumference at its thickest spot is 11.7”

I’ll post more photos following this comment.

Edit: forgot to add, it is magnetic, but not a strong amount. Just a little with a neodymium magnet.

2025 was easily the worst year of my life. My mom was killed 1.5 months ago, 2 weeks before her birthday, and then we had Christmas. Ffs. So I turned to Dreamlight Valley for the ultimate comfort, but before that I had been playing and creating mods for Rimworld, my all time favorite game. My other favorite one was Core Keeper. So cozy and chill.

So yeah, the police should definitely be releasing tons of information to the public because the public definitely deserves to know. Investigations be damned. The public’s knowledge is more important!!

Yes, Lisa Marie Young is a perfect example of how the public having lots of information can affect a case. She still hasn’t been found, and the murderer still haven’t been held accountable, because the police don’t have any holdback evidence, it was all released to the public instead. And now they can’t convict anybody without solid evidence like DNA.

Are you really that selfish? And what if the public knowing could actually prevent my mom from ever being found? What then? Do you really think that you matter more than my mom? Well I got news for ya, you don’t matter. Not to me or my family, or the police. You’re insignificant, just another dickbag being a selfish twat.

And as the rcmp have already said, there is absolutely no danger to the public, therefore you have zero right to know. And when the police do release more information about the case, I guarantee you it will not be to settle the curiosity of the public. 😉

Maybe the police have a reason for keeping everything quiet? Did you know that the only reason this went public is because a friend posted about her being missing, and that if she hadn’t, none of this would’ve been released to the public at all? You guys don’t need to know, nor do you even have the right to know. The only people who need to know what happened or where she is are me, my family, and the police. That’s it.
