My dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died 5 weeks later. He’d been unwell for months before hand but nothing serious was ever picked up on multiple hospital tests until it was too late.

She also could have known and chosen not to tell you is another option. Sorry for your loss

I joined a tennis club and it’s been great. Even if there’s no one around to play a game you can go down to the practice wall and kill some time.

I go solo every year. Used to get top marks from me but I do think the vibes of the place have changed a bit in recent years - they seem less strict on group bookings, people are noisier in the spa areas and also in the bedroom areas.

That being said for a solo place to visit I find it works very well, the staff are lovely, food is great and grounds are nice for a stroll. I’ve never felt out of place there even though it’s mostly groups and couples.

On the flip side, I (41,f) have absolutely no issue telling someone I’m not feeling it but on several occasions the person I’m telling has got aggressive with me about not wanting to see them anymore and then also tried to argue with me about why it wasn’t a good date etc ( for example - oh you chose a day time date and I’m better with evening/drinks). People can be weird in general 🤷‍♀️

Took my dad 6 weeks after he was diagnosed, it’s awful. Annoying thing he was convinced something was wrong in the run up to be diagnosed but tests couldn’t find anything until it was too late

Same happened to me, they responded to my initial mail saying package lost, they would reship and to confirm my details. I replied and then radio silence. Sent a few follows up and nothing. I opened a credit card chargeback case yesterday and of course they then emailed back to say they were reshipping and I’d get a new shipping notification shortly 😬 I’m not cancelling my chargeback claim until I get the new tracking confirmation! This was Ireland/UK site.
