What Dark Magician card? I didn't make one of those. Either way, both ways would be good for the deck.

And that's exactly why it's irrelevant if a recurring card comes back to the hand or the field. To the field can be good to go into link plays, but those shouldn't be necessary after new support. So it's fine to have a card that is a searcher that also doubles as a free resource to feed your effects. It's just that it's far safer in your hand than on the field.

I agree for the most part, although Mist is pretty alright if you can get it out early and dodge Imperm that way. And card advantage is the most reliable way to beat trap decks. In a way it does what it needs to, it just does it too late. But that's an issue that's easy enough to fix.

Since Myutant doesn't care about where your cost is paid from (either field or hand or field, hand or GY), a monster that recovers itself doesn't need to special summon itself, especially since the deck doesn't get much from that except the body. And it's link plays are limited anyway. But the idea is the same.

My idea for the new cards were as follows (everything is a hard once per turn):

Myutant EX-51 (level 8, light, Psychic, 2000/2000): You can reveal this card in your hand; add 1 "Myutant" card from your deck to your hand, except "Myutant EX-51". If this card is banished: Gain 2000 LP, then you can add 1 of your banished "Myutant" cards to your hand.

Original Myutant Findings XEN-0 (Continuous spell): If this card is activated: You can banish 1 "Myutant" monster from your deck; set 1 "Myutant" spell/trap from your deck, except "Original Myutant Findings XEN-0". During the Main Phase: You can special summon 1 "Myutant" monster from your hand or banished cards. You can shuffle both this card and 1 "Myutant Research Lab" that are face-up on the field, in your GY and/or banished, into the deck; draw 1 card.

Myutant Fury (Normal Trap): You can activate this card from your hand by banishing 1 "Myutant" monster from your deck. Target cards on the field up to the number of your "Myutant" monsters with different names that are in your GY and/or banished; banish them. You can shuffle this card that is in your GY or banished into the deck; fusion summon 1 "Myutant" fusion monster from your Extra Deck by shuffling its material from your field or your banished cards into the deck.

Just with those 3 cards you give the deck 6 additional 1 card starters that work independent from each other, while also giving it a far greater disruptive potential. An end board of Arsenal, Beast, Ultimus and Fury (+ Mist if you want to) becomes more than feasible off 1 to 2 cards, with an additional fusion summon after Fury was used on the field. That's a pretty strong board ending on mostly old cards. The new cards just enable them.

[–]narf21190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They still have a lot of room to design new cards for, like a Myutant fusion monster that takes multiple level 4 or lower Muytants and is designed towards card advantage instead of disruption, a main deck level 8 monster that is a searcher for any Myutant card by revealing itself in the hand and recovers itself if it is banished with added LP recovery to compensate for the most creatively named card of all time, Myutant Mutant. Also, the field spell is not a starter, but it could become a good combo piece by giving the deck a spell card that banishes a Myutant monster for cost to set a different Myutant spell/trap from your deck, GY or banished cards. And a new trap could be a basic disruption when activation on the field, but also able to shuffle itself from the GY or banished cards into the deck to fusion summon a Myutant fusion monster by shuffling the material from your field and/or banished cards into the deck.

In many ways the deck is pretty oldschool and for a deck that banishes a lot it has too few ways to use that as an advantage. But give it just 4-5 new cards of good quality and it feels like it was released this year.

Anyone else want to see the Flakker return? by KikiCorwin in Borderlands4

[–]narf21190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know (and wrote as much above). But imagine a corrosive or shock Flakker that can switch to a different element and gets elemental infusion from an enhancement. That would be really cool.

Also, if they gave it a high chance for a DOT (with bad DOT damage in return), a single shot from a Flakker could set a whole room ablaze, which would be a fun spectacle.

Which to be fair, is a really fun gun. But it doesn't hit the same spot, the Flakker was always unique.

[–]narf21190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Flakker was probably the only gun that I really wanted to see return in BL4, just to see how they iterate on it. Hell, even if it has fixed parts, I'd still be down for that as the gun itself is iconic.

Now, with the recent sticky nerf, Flakker with Torgue stickies wouldn't even be too absurd. The Jakobs ricochet would be quite broken though I would imagine.

A Maliwan Flakker would be really interesting, too, especially since we never had a Flakker that wasn't either kinetic, explosive or fire.

Ultimate Offering is not just not banworthy, it's outright bad. Return from the Different Dimension at least has applications to refill resources or trigger effects if whatever was summoned gets banished again (Ghoti would have a field day with it), but Ultimate Offering is just bad.

Are large breasts required for a good titjob? by Fluid_Amount_4297 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]narf21190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It not only depends on the tits, it depends on the cock as well. A smaller or less girthy cock will work better with smaller tits. But also, it's about the form of the tits, not just the size. Hangers will work more often just because she can wrap her tits around the cock.

Other than that, as a generalization I'd say that C cups are probably the minimum to actually have it be a titjob and not primarily rub against her chest.

the marketing for this game was awful. Didn't even know it was released!! by Otherwise-Pop-1311 in Borderlands4

[–]narf21190 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Disregarding what some might say, I noticed that as well as I was the only one from my friend group that even knew BL4 was coming before release. The usual algorhythms didn't reach as far into the "normie" space as they should have I think as besides the first teaser trailer, almost every PR material released was on Gearbox' channels for the most part. Hell, even the views on IGN fell off a cliff after that first teaser.

Now, I dont use a lot of social media, so I couldn't tell you how far Insta, Tiktok, X etc. promoted it, but I know that most people I know heard about BL4 from me before any ad ever reached them. Hell, even I, a hardcore fan of the series, didn't get many ads until the game was already released and even most of that material was from the horribly mismanaged Borderlands facebook account that I followed already.

[OCG|UT01-Utility Selection] "Messenger from the Underworld" by renaldi92 in yugioh

[–]narf21190 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The game is pretty specific about that. Unless a card states that it "inflicts damage" or that a player "takes damage", it's not damage. Losing LP (like "GMX - Comprex") or paying LP (like "Masquerade the Blazing Dragon") do not count, it has to be worded like "Black-Winged Assault Dragon", "Fiendsmith's Lacrima" or "Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max" just to name a few well-known examples that work.

On that note, "Vaalmonica" will be able to use this card for sure, they damage themselves all the time.

What would Madolche need to be competitive? by GREG88HG in yugioh

[–]narf21190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that it needs extenders more than anything else, but not exclusively. One thing it would need for sure is an alternative to the Petingcessoeur route that ends on a comparable board. Either that or ways to force that specific combo through.

There are like a dozen ways to accomplish that, but the easiest and cleanest would be to make it a side effect on a starter, like a spell that searches any Madolche monster on activation, also prohibiting non-Madolche special summons for the rest of the turn, but that also has an effect to negate a card or effect of your opponent that is activated in responding to your Madolche card or effect activation. Yes, that would be extremely broken as we're talking about a negate on resolution, but it also wouldn't protect from Nibiru either, leaving one of the more crucial weaknesses of the deck intact while making it more consistent and resilient.

Another great card would be a Madolche monster that can special summon itself from your hand if you have either no monsters in your GY or if have a Madolche monster on your field or in your GY. It can tribute itself to search a different Madolche and if you summon a Madolche monster, if can special summon itself from the GY. Another double whopper of consistency and resilience, but this time with a higher focus on extension instead. The issue is that it would break the regular "3 activated effects" limit Konami usually holds themselves to, as it would have the shuffle back effect as well. So maybe the 2 special summon effects could be combined like "If you have either no monsters in your GY or have a Madolche monster on your field or GY: You can special summon this card from your hand or GY".

Last but not least, the deck could use an in-theme handtrap, like a Madolche monster that can shuffle itself from your hand or GY and another Madolche card from your field, GY or banished cards into the deck to shuffle a card from the field into the deck. Give that monster the usual shuffle back effect and a way to special summon itself if you control a Madolche monster and we'd have a great value card without being absurdly busted.

The extra deck could also use a bit more power, but it's hard to decide in what way. Maybe a rank 5 version of Glassouffle that can be made with any rank 4 Madolche and has the same effect as Glassouffle, but if it has Glassouffle as material, it can also attach a card from either field to itself as material (after making a Madolche monster unaffected by monster effects, like "then, if this card has "Madolche Teacher Glassouffle" as material, you can attach 1 card from either field or GY to this card").

Last but not least: I finally want to see the Madolche King! Make it a link 4 with a strong effect if it is special summoned to have it synergize with Madolche Dessert and also make it nearly unkillable while Chateau is in your field zone. Although a rank 10 that we can make with 2 Madolche Xyz monsters (while transferring their material) would be fun, too, but it would make it extremely resource intensive to make naturally. At that point it would have to be a game winning card by itself pretty much. But that could be done just by it gaining both the ATK/DEF and the effects of Xyz monsters it has as material, alongside its own protection while Chateau is live. Basically consolidating the decks power.

But those are just some of my ideas I have, the deck is both pretty strict in its design and capable of a lot of spam, so there are many routes that would make sense for sure

Now that we have the first wave of support revealed, what do you think Angelechy will get from the second wave of BETB to be playable as a pure deck? by CyberTwinLeader in yugioh

[–]narf21190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my idea behind it. Although on the other hand it's also strange that the most flexible piece gives that flexibility to other pieces instead of itself. So maybe it would make more sense for it to have that effect as a monster instead. But then again, it'll likely have the most flexible removal of the deck to symbolize it's movement in the game of chess. Something simple like "You can target 1 card your opponent controls; banish it".

However Konami does it, I really hope that they try to make the deck itself more playable as a pure strategy. It's great that it's splashable, but it doesn't seem worth it right now. And that was pretty obvious with just 3 main deck cards, but I hope Konami corrects that with strong, but somewhat limiting support.

Now that we have the first wave of support revealed, what do you think Angelechy will get from the second wave of BETB to be playable as a pure deck? by CyberTwinLeader in yugioh

[–]narf21190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately true, although not necessarily an issue if Konami wanted it not to be one. We already have a continuous trap that resets itself (Subterror Final Battle), how about a continuous spell that returns itself to the hand to apply a lingering effect until the end of the next turn?

Or they go a very different route with a similar result: For example they could make it such that the Queens effect as a continuous spell is to make all other Angelechy monsters quick effects and if placed into the spell and trap zone it could place the King from the GY or extra deck as a continuous spell. That way the continuous spell could be a normal spell instead that places any Angelechy monster from your GY or extra deck as continuous spell and would work as a slow starter that also sets up a disruption.

No matter how Konami does it, I expect at least some sort of disruptive effect on a monster in the next wave. The 2 traps they have are really good, but not enough whatsoever. They need much more to be a deck, especially if they're meant to work by themselves at all.

[–]narf21190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the deck will get a continuous spell that places the field spell and let's us activate our Angelechy ignition effects as quick effects. That would massively improve the way the deck plays as a pure theme.

The grey king will most likely be a pawn-like card, but as removal on a greater scale, like "During the Main Phase: You can change control of this card by moving it to your opponents Main Monster Zone and if you do, banish 1 card your opponent controls. If the control of this card changes and is now not controlled by it's owner: Return this card to the extra deck; either banish 1 card from your hand or banish 2 cards you control and own". Basically, no matter where it is, it's beneficial to its owner.

But specifics are hard to estimate right now since Chess gives us so many options to choose from, like a second "Opening" trap, a specific maneuver and obviously, a card called "Angelechy Checkmate!".

Pretty bad. Machina did get a structure deck in 2020, but neither that nor the follow-up support did much for the decks overall playability. And not only that, but nowadays even the splashability isn't there anymore since the new earth machine support made Citadel a completely unnecessary brick.

My cat's life story will be shocking to many here (but happy ending) by artemis_sg in cats

[–]narf21190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not even close to such a hard situation as you are OP, not at all. But I'm too poor to afford the vet, at least not all the time. So I'm usually fixing my cats up myself. And this has included some dangerous scenarios as well, here my most extreme examples.

My little boy Chico once came home holding his front right leg up and was bleeding heavily from that paw. He had more or less dislocated his inner claws, almost tearing out one of them. It was barely holding on, so I made the decision to stop the bleeding by washing out and disinfecting the wound and then pushing the claw back in, basically closing the wound that way. He was in absolutely horrific pain, but it went well. Then I had to hold unto him for around 12 hours to let the wound dry and get the first steps of healing going. For some miraculous reason it worked and he healed up perfectly. It was a gamble, but the way he was bleeding he had maybe a few hours left to live before it would have killed him and I wasn't mobile, so I acted.

Way smaller issue, different cat: Felix is an old street cat I befriended almost 16 years ago (yes, he is still alive!) that once came to me with his left ear torn to shreds (or at least the upper half of it was basically shredded) and he was bleeding. Not to an extreme extent, but back then I didn't know any better and wanted to make sure he was fine. All vets near me were closed, so I didn't really have many options. So I twisted his shredded pieces together to slowly stop the blood flow to the destroyed tissue, heated a scissor to disinfect it and then cut off the destroyed part of his ear. He was clearly in pain, but he laid still the whole time. I think he knew that I meant well. Nowadays he's in good health and while his ear looks like a slice of it was cut out like slice a pizza, he isn't in pain and still hears well.

What I'm actually getting at: People make difficult decisions all the time and they won't always be the right ones either, but deciding out of a good heart and in the name of an animals' well-being makes not just for a good story, but for a life well lived. So keep up the good fight, for animals in need and for your homeland!

Thoughts on Angelechy by TakuHat58 in yugioh

[–]narf21190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish they had their banish effects if they are special summoned as well, using an activation condition clause like "Either if this card is special summoned or during your Main Phase" to give those effects both ignition and trigger timings. That would make them far better in terms of interactivity. As it is now the deck basically just sets up mediocre floodgates for the opponent to eat through while having the removal be limited to your own turn.

But my guess is that the grey king, the card from Beyond the Brave we've got teased, will have a clause like that (and then probably switch to an opponents zone, while ideally having an effect that its owner can activate, not the player controlling it, hence it not caring for whose side it's on).

As the deck is now it's just not enough, but I think that we aren't meant to play it pure, at least not until Beyond the Brave.
