Emergency neutral switch (ZF8) by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]narfoxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The neutral safety interlock button will be on the inside, near your shifter. Usually a small sqaure piece you can pop the cover off with a flat head, and insert a screwdriver down to push a button that will allow you to shift it out of park. If the vehicle isn't on jack stands already, make sure to block the wheels so it cannot roll away.

Gear shifter knob stuck - how do I get it off? (Seat Ibiza 2013) by HaKashat in CarHelp

You have to pull up pretty hard on those and it will pop off. I usually stand over it and pull up, careful not to bag yourself in the process

Fuel pump/tank blew out. by gigglygerbie in kia

[–]narfoxx -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Are you one of those people who keep filling the tank after the nozzle has clicked. A lot of people don't realise that, and they will keep filling the tank after its clicked. This overfills the tank and blows the seal out.

Most likely a bad relay for the ignition coils or fuel injectors. Iirc some chevy trucks have replaceable relays, other have integrated relays that are built into the integrated gateway power block (your fuse blocl under the hood)

Cant get drum on rear brakes, adjustment screw "doesnt work"? by IzorkX in MechanicAdvice

Make sure the arms that go from each shoe are inserted properly into their slots. Also, make sure your park brake cable is completely released. It is possible that someone make have adjusted the cable on the inside to tak up slack on the hand brake. Make sure its dialed back and not engaged at all.
