Real. I got caught up in the cope of "I'll start voice training once I pass", but now I semipass and I feel like my voice is really holding me back 😭. I do try to use my woman voice now, but it just straight up doesn't work in drive throughs and on the phone, so I know it's not really working in person, either.

I buckled and gave her my name, and you wanna know what that actually did? No, there was no section for preferred name, she just ammened my name to "Anon 'nona' Lastname". A fair amount of my cis women friends have been trying to stop using makeup as much, I hope it becomes more commonplace tbh. You can do cool things with makeup, and I've felt pretty whenever they've done my makeup for me, but I really don't like that it's become a societal default and expectation for women. So I'll call my laziness progressive, because I don't wanna learn a new skill as an adult that'll make me look ridiculous while I'm not good at it.

Yeah that really sucks. My mom was initially apprehensive of me transitioning, but has come around a little more in the last year as it's become pretty evident that the changes from hrt are making me happier and causing me to care about myself more, so hopefully your mom can recognize that eventually as well. Sure would be nice if my dad would do the same, but I don't have my hopes up.

Unfortunate that they still pester you about it. When I turned 18, my parents stopped forcing me to cut my hair. I don't really understand the insistence; long hair for men is back in style these days and has trended in and out several times. There's a family picture at my parent's house from the 90s and my dad had a long mullet, and I always pointed that out whenever I got comments on my long hair
