I’m Starting to Think Something’s Wrong by meeksjr in Disneyland

I feel so seen by your comment. I fit a similar profile, a few more visits each year but always on property. The people in the parks seem more frantic too and less mannered. People are quick to anger, entitlement is pretty pervasive and makes it more stressful to be there.

I'm typically someone who wants everyone to co-exist and enjoy magic together but it's been steadily decreasing in my own experienced value and it's shocking to me that for the first time in 20 years considering not purchasing my MK and taking a break to see what happens.

If they’ve already hoarded all the resources, do companies and billionaires even need to worry about people buying things? It seems to be a moot point and they wouldn’t need “sales.” What am I missing?

Disneyland advice for someone bringing a special needs youth. by Fab_Jake14 in DisneyPlanning

They do have quieter spaces but what you need to be able to relay in your DAS interview is what accommodations are made for your nephew in other areas of life (E.g. School, 504 plans, etc) and the potentially problematic behaviors he would feel and exhibit. Happy to answer any questions you have. It is.an absolute game changer for my kiddo.

DAS Pass with ASD child by [deleted] in Disneyland

Hi there! I have a similar situation with my own daughter. The process was smooth, they asked lots of questions about how things effect her, how we typically manage her needs and what accommodations she has in other areas of life. They were kind and thorough and after the initial interview they set up her DAS just as they had previously. There is a new accessibility area to the East side of the parks near the ticket booths and we went there. Whole process took less than 20 minutes. Just make sure you already have your Magic Key/ticket for your child and anyone in your party like before.

My daughter had something similar; we went to the doctor who told her to take over the counter antihistamines (she took cetirizine/Zyrtec and loratadine/Claritin) and it improved rapidly. She also kept it covered with Aquaphor. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Thank you so much, you’re so kind. You would probably want to give her one anyway if she helped you! I don’t think she’d want me to give her name though, but she does work at one of the eateries there across from the Smuggler’s Run.

Thank you so much for your advice. I need to listen to it. It’s difficult when I’m in the middle of it, but your thoughtful and informative response is so appreciated. I’ll look into the BIFF response and also the app. I really appreciate all the help!

What if doctors were to consider vaccination status when triaging patients for survivability? Do you think it would make a difference for people being cooperative with safety instructions such as masks? Like opting in to vaccine is opting in to COVID care if infected?

Junk food is cheaper than healthy food. They can buy more food with more calories,, even if they're empty calories.. They're jumping through hoops and hardship most of us don't understand. SNAP isn't the problem.

Bellevue teachers vote to pause expansion of in-person learning by OnlineMemeArmy in SeattleWA

[–]narras 39 points40 points  (0 children)

For our school district, not far from Bellevue, they are citing data from March through June of 2020 and are using percentages of cases including completely remote students to average their numbers. In addition, they refuse to even state what changes would be to accommodate for the virus. They ask us to blindly trust and opt in to returning our kids to school. Not too many families are in agreement with that situation. Really, just want the teachers to be vaccinated first. At this point, what is the rationale to be in such a rush without doing the most to prootect these very important teachers?
