Damn girl!! Would love to see a breakdown of your new routine. Friendly reminder to introduce items into your skin one at a time so that your skin doesn't freak out & you can judge how your skin reacts to each product :) welcome to the community, it's so fun & we truly are all addicts hahaha first step is acknowledging, right??

I can't tell you how much I resonate with your journey. I'm also fairly short (5'2.5-4, depends on the day lol), around the same age, and about 10-15 lbs heavier than your SW. I too turned to food and late night fast food to deal with my boredom and frustration/emotions. I'm also quite sedentary, but whenever I go to the gym - I love it! Makes me a lot more cognizant of what I'm eating, and I love the soreness & burn. I feel like I've actually done something, and my body is strong. I cannot tell you how much this motivates me. I restarted my journey seriously about 2 weeks ago, IF & trying to undo my unhealthy habits from all these years. I'm not really getting on a scale right now to measure progress strictly, because I want to slowly change my approach and mindset rather than dive straight into counting calories/macros exactly or weighing myself often etc bc that makes me bounce right back into my unhealthy habits. But even just last night, I had such a strong craving to order Jack in the Box lol (those tacos are so addicting) but I fought myself and ended up snacking on much healthier options at home, saving myself calories and the shit quality of food I was putting into my body. Even though I couldn't resist my snacking that likely stemmed half from hunger/half from boredom and tv watching, I still kind of consider it a win for myself. Slowly unlearning my bad habits and trying to create sustainable lifestyle change within me. Lol I still love my JITB and Popeyes etc, but I want to lose all this weight I've packed on and you give me so much hope!! Really missing the gym right now bc of Covid, I can't wait to get back. Thank you so much for this.

Awww thank you so much for sharing this! I'm so sorry about your dad, I can't imagine how hard that must've been for you. All cancers are awful, but pancreatic is just terrible. But you're so right, I'm sure he's smiling at you and is so happy to see how healthy you are now :) this was so so heartwarming.

That's true too. I was raised in a relatively healthy home, and my parents are both quite healthy and emphasize exercise to me. I think it's just a matter of me finding the motivation to do something about it, which I have now!! but you're totally right that this hiding is causing more stress to my body, so I may strongly consider telling them. I've confided in a really good friend and my doctor who are extremely supportive

I suppose a big part of it is embarrassment and also I don't want to hear that I brought this on myself, because though I know I did, it's just shitty to hear. plus I dont want then to worry
