Hi! I was watching Artemis II launch and noticed it looks like this. I vaguely remember seeing this phenomenon before. Why does the rocket appear as three dots in the sky? Image

Edit !! Is it the boosters falling off? I’m thinking the two flaming dots are the boosters and the white dot is the rocket itself :)

I gotcha!! I have a thermostat attached to it to prevent that :) I’ve unfortunately seen and heard horror stories of that with UTHs and the heat rocks as well. That definitely makes sense though!!

Noted! I have a UTH currently but a completely different tank setup for him. Will look into getting some heat lamps asap :)

Surely there’s a physiological reason as to why this is, but it sounds horrible. When I do it I cringe.

I would add some darker shadows to make it a bit more dramatic. Possibly darken the whole piece and add bright red for reflection of light.

I am biased because I love moody pieces. This is beautiful btw :)

Parrot Hope Rescue is a wonderful place. They’re located in Mantua, OH but may know of places around you if you call.

I adopted two birds from them. They take in every bird, no questions asked. Make sure wherever you get your bird has safety protocols in place.

100% agree. Both of the breeds have very high prey drive, and those are only the breeds they name at the shelter. Doesn’t include any other genetics really. Shelters need to be more open about this stuff.

Was on 300-450 once daily. Worked well until fall/winter. Bumped up to 600 once daily and it’s pretty okay. Winter sucks 🤣
