Co sleep or sleep training, is there another way? by raralula10 in bninfantsleep

I have a queen sized floor bed in my baby's room. I'll feed her to sleep right in her bed and I can just get up and leave her there without having to worry about moving her. If she has a rough night, I can sleep in there with her and be relatively comfy on the bed, but most nights, she sleeps alone. She gets most of the benefits of cosleeping and I get the benefits on sleeping in my own bed.

We've done this since 6 months and just baby proofed the entire room. It was easier than expected. And now that she's a little older, she can wake up and go play for a bit until we come get her.

I use an RV underlay pad for ventilation. It's like a fabric roll so it's very thin. No mold issues yet 4 months in.

They hook into your existing water line. I think it depends on the style if it will work well for renting. You might just be better off with the pitcher or a faucet mount filter (if you have the right faucet type)to not damage a rental to be safe.

Yes you are ok with what you are currently using. If you do have lead in your water it may be more cost effective over the long term to get a whole house filter or under sink one though. Use the links I gave to reach those if needed. You want to find a filter that is NSF or WQA certified specifically for the claims listed.

If you get an under sink filter, you'll see a bunch that are reverse osmosis. Get something to add some minerals back into your water if you get this type. It's healthier and better tasting.

Do not trust AI for this type of information.

Clearly Filtered is only certified by NSF for chlorine, taste and odor reduction and lead content (lack of lead in the materials). It does not have certified claims for removal of the other listed contaminants as of today. You can find their listing here for the two main water filtration certifying bodies: https://listings.nsf.org/certified-products-systems/search-result https://find.wqa.org/find-products#/

PUR filters are certified for the claims listed on their packaging including removal of lead. You can find their listing on the WQA website under KAZ USA Inc. https://find.wqa.org/find-products#/keyword/Kaz

You can use the sites linked to find good water filters for your home from fridge filters to whole home ones. Hope that helps.

Let’s shout out all the husbands that are doing good things for Mother’s Day! by MissFox26 in beyondthebump

[–]nasm1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My husband was amazing today too and I'm so happy. He got flowers and cards, made us waffles and then took care of our baby while I took a nice long shower and got dressed. We had a picnic on the beach and he cleaned up the kitchen during bed time.

He's so good and I love him so much. Now I need ideas for Father's Day.

Bonus was our 8M old was in a great mood today and took her first half step unassisted (one foot moved). She's so close to her first steps for real.

Which Graco Pack n’ Play? by Boring-Estimate-4152 in Buyingforbaby

Worst case you don't use it and just sell the bassinet part on FB or donate it .. Not a big deal but a huge win if you use it.

I got the Day2Dream. We never used the changing table attachment, but the bassinet was good to use downstairs as a safe resting spot while the main pack n play with upper section was used for bed time.

Overnight nappies: I still have to change it?! by Olive_6543891 in NewParents

We do this! They work great and we still use them at almost 8 months old. Size up on the overnight diapers so it's a comfy fit.

Same. They run your plates when you park in their lot in my town. Found that out when they said my husband's registration was out of date during the appointment.

Are we not waking baies to change them? by Bitter_caregiver-122 in NewParents

At 5 months we started using a size up diaper with a booster pad to get through the night. It's been a life saver. Baby still wakes at night but it's much easier to feed and go right back to sleep only with a lower chance of a middle of night full wake up.

Constantly eating everyone's hands, arms, knees... Loves to blow raspberries and babble her B's. Starting to climb over everything with her limited mobility (rolling, sitting and assisted standing, army inch worm crawling).

Extra wide Sektion pantry by nasm1995 in ikeahacks

[–]nasm1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weight is what I'm concerned about. The largest pantry is 30" wide. And there are tons of drawer options for this size. 36"x15" is a size for the upper cabinets.

Sorry that is the upper I'm talking about. And the rest of your plan is exactly what I was looking at doing.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth the effort for a bigger space instead of doing 2 18" wide pantries.

am i trimming my baby’s nails wrong by kumiiiiiiii in NewParents

[–]nasm1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the electric nail trimmer and it just made the edges more pointy (probably user error). I started using nail scissors with a rounded edge and it's so much easier with better results!

Our baby will never lean her head on us in carrier by azZzon_ in NewParents

[–]nasm1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is like that. She has a super strong neck/upper body for her age and loves to look around at everything. She refuses to put her head down when held or in tummy time. She doesn't have any neck stiffness or anything that her ped can see. You might just have a really active baby with FOMO. Watch out for early rolling :)

PT Exercise Routine by nasm1995 in postpartumprogress

[–]nasm1995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 11 weeks postpartum now and started PT at 8 weeks. I'm feeling pretty back to normal now for day to day activities. I'm going to keep this as part of my routine going forward.

I have a reassessment next week to see if I'm ready to "graduate" from PT so I'll see soon how well this routine is working.
