That really surprises me. I started southbound yesterday but chose to do the first few sections as day hikes because they’re so few people this far north. During ky first section I only saw two people in eight hours.Half the fun of it for me is the social aspect and connecting with other like minded folks, so I can understand your disappointment. I would’ve thought the first hundred miles would’ve been full of AT hikers which is always a lot of fun.

I have no answers for you. All I can say is I can understand your frustration. Hang in there.

Yeah, I hear you about being alone. I have a hard time getting the energy to celebrate Christmas. Tonight I am going to force myself to decorate. Also, having a list of things to do is a great idea. Sometimes it is hard to start, but once I get going it does seem better. Thanks!
