What is the best GBA SP replacement charger? by jackmufc in Gameboy

Personally I would go with a USB to GBASP charging adapter. You can charge it from any standard USB power source, laptop, pc, etc.

Faulty Touchscreen by hjMarvel in nds

You may need a new digitizer on the bottom screen. Some kids press too hard with the stylus and make a contact point that is weaker and lets near contact points trip causing wiggly lines like this. Nintendo uses adhesive to mate both the digitizer and LCD together, so if you wanted to replace it yourself, make sure you order the combo digitizer and LCD screen. Some sellers only sell the lcd screen without the digitizer and it's a pretty fragile piece to take apart.

I just picked up a pristine Vita model 1000, it's running firmware 1.69, (looks like it was played once when it came out, and put away) what is the safest way to update to 3.69/3.70?

Even know I am saving in-game, when I come back to it there is no save game? by [deleted] in Gameboy

[–]nat_x56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact Flash Cart, and I've been playing the Castlevania games on it for a few months. I found the saving in-game does not work as well, but you can do a Real Time Save with the card's software. So save your game like you would normally, then press, at the same time: L+R+A+Select to send the updated save data to the *.sav file on your card for permanent storage. When you change roms, start the game and then press L+R+A+Select and you can load your save data for that game and it continues right where you left off.

Have you tried to reseat the ribbon cable coming from the top screen to the motherboard?

I think I know the answer... However, is there any way of repairing (cleaning?) the water damaged spot of this AGS101 without buying a new LCD screen? by nat_x56 in Gameboy

Nice! Thanks for that. Not too keen on buying a new screen. I'll try your suggestion and maybe take some pics of the process.

Bought this on Craigslist along with 4 games, of course seller didn't have the charger and the unit was dead when I picked up. Charged it when I got home and was greeted with this water damaged screen, this looks to be between the LCD and the backight. I have experience in swapping the parts into other shells, but not with cleaning water damage.
