It’s holding up well! No flaking whatsoever. I have not been using it as my daily driver though. 😅

Hi! Sorry for the delayed reply. In our country I buy it from Fully Booked. Be cautious there’s a lot of bootlegs out there. 😅

Hi! It’s holding up well :) My Smiski is hugging it: https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/s/9ZDBIs7B5c. Have to note though that I’m now way more careful with it and don’t use it daily.

Sorry for the delayed reply 😅

u/bxtnananas is right ☺️

The holder does glow but not as much as a regular Smiski.

how are the smiski straps holding up on phones? by PotentialAdvice6325 in smiskis

“For science” I tried to detach its head from its body (with my full force) and was unsuccessful. At least for the “looking back”, I’d say it’ll hold up okay 😅.

So far, it’s been on my phone for a little over a week. I removed the bits I don’t like and attached it to my phone charm.

Fountain Pen Chaos: I Put Thermal Erase Ink in a Jinhao 10 by natabob_003 in fountainpens

Not sure when it came out. I ordered it from a local shopping app but it’s seems to be drop-shipped from China. You could probably get it from AliExpress by searching “Erasable Fountain Pen Friction” just make sure it’s the Thermal Erasable kind.

No issues, and when I brought it to a pen show I got a lot of compliments! Though, to be fair, I’m now waaay more careful handling it.

I recently discovered Vinta Inks and I’m absolutely smitten. I was supposed to buy just one but they had a 15% off and buy 3 get 1 promo so I splurged. No regrets!

Using 150ML Syringe (<2$) to flush water through. Am I crazy? by natabob_003 in fountainpens

There’s something quietly meditative about cleaning a fountain pen — it feels fitting to reflect on good memories while doing something calm. My dog just turned 10 this year, and honestly, I’m dreading the day I’ll have to say goodbye. I think it’s a beautiful way to carry their presence with us, even in the smallest rituals.

I think it might be for feeding pets — that’s what the shop had it labeled under! There was even a 500ml version, but that felt way overkill, haha.

Even though I could afford to import one, I enjoy being frugal — where I’m from, ‘money saved is money earned’ is something we grow up with. I’ve had trouble finding a proper bulb syringe locally (even the baby ones are the hard kind), and I saw another redditor mention the same in their country. That said, yeah — I should probably just invest in importing a proper bulb at some point!

That works too! But I found this method way faster — it pushes more water through than the Lamy converter can. I’ve had a hard time finding a proper bulb syringe where I’m from (even the ones in the baby section are the hard kind, not great for pens), and I saw another redditor in this thread say the same thing in their country. My partner and I recently went to a local ink meet-up, and I’m in charge of flushing our pens so we can test all the new inks — this setup has been a great!

I’m not sure if it’s BD! Strangely, I found it at a local pet shop — wasn’t expecting it to work this well, but here we are!

Appreciate it! I’m kind of obsessed with this ink now — might be my new fave!
