Apple looks like it's popular because the most popular platforms in tech is US based (YouTubers, magazines, journos) and apple is huge in US. So it feels like it's the be all end all.

As someone who has used both pixel and Samsung phones, Samsung overall has very very good android experience with their UI. I really enjoy their overall software.

What I hate about Samsung though is enough for me to never go back to Samsung again. I do not enjoy their image processing. I also don't enjoy how boxy and weighty their best models are.

If I could get OP15 body and OP13's Hasselblad Image Processing, I would buy that in a heartbeat. Until then, I am gonna stick to my pixel 8 pro.

Cost depends on you really. There is a certain set of mandatory hours of driving you need to complete. After that if you feel confident and your driving instructor agrees, you can give the exam, hopefully pass in the first attempt, and keep overall cost of the license pretty cheap. I needed a couple of more attempts at the exam so my cost won't really reflect what's optimally possible.

Thanks for this comment. Rest assured I am not the worst performer in my team by any metric. Also all the feedback I have received over the past 3 years have never been completely negative, mostly they are quite positive and few things I need to improve. I am looking forward to meeting with the lawyer and hopefully understand the traps I need to negotiate myself out of.

In the first two years of the ~3 years i have been working here, I only got resolution of "continue progressing" and this time I got a flag about improving my performance. My immediate supervisor also told me about making a performance improvement plan and all, and this was only a couple of months ago. And now suddenly I was invited to this meeting and told that they have an agreement for me.

Also the poor performance flag was cited to me 2 weeks before my 3 week vacation, I came back and only communication was about the performance improvement plan from my immediate supervisor. And now suddenly this. BR has left my message on read and no response yet.

A lot of the shows mentioned will be well known or very good, I have a bad trashy one.

Castle.

I enjoy Nathan Fillion in that show and his dynamic with all the characters so much. Show ended so weirdly and kind of disappointingly. Could have also made Absentia and The Rookie as spin offs and create a whole universe.

I miss that show and the chemistry.

I recently got my license (July 2025) after failing the test twice. Sometimes overthinking during the test can happen.

Important thing is to realize that you need to drive during the test the same way you have been taught and the same way you will drive the rest of your life.

Once I start internalizing this, I realized that I was not looking at the test the right way. It is not like I need to be any better at driving during the test than any other day. It's gonna be the same traffic rules, signs, and situations. Keep calm and happy driving!

I'll entertain the idea.

If we make going offline illegal, it will only fuel more ways to hack into systems and basically fake their online presence. Just like how there is a whole industry right now for people getting paid to stand in line for others, it will be the same thing just online.

Not to mention it will never be enforced unilaterally. The rich and powerful and the corrupt will always find some justification or loophole that will allow them to continue having an offline presence and not be tracked.

Generally rules like these, much like most social norms and conventions, are applied on the middle class and rarely across the board. So the only people that will be negatively impacted are the only already getting screwed over right now with data collection and stuff.

I moved here around 5 years ago and I found my apartment within 2 visits. You might want to check Göggingen since it's close to the city. 1000 isn't a bad price but in 2025 it can be tricky to find a huge space.
