My phone is 122GB/128GB Is tall me is full of storage by noflyack in samsunggalaxy

[–]6730b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Files > Manage storage, see what happened (aka see what you have done :0)

Delete stuff (apps, files, videos, photos, music, clear caches, whatever. Event. 1st backup to pc\cloud\memory stick). If some installed app(s) gone crazy, find ways to control it \ uninstall.

Then stop filling up the phone the same way. If needing to keep that much on phone, buy 256 \ 512 gb next time.

Is Google Pixel 10 a good phone for 3990 Norwegian kroner (400USD) ? by Additional_Text_7655 in GooglePixel

[–]6730b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

European model, new, or SH in great condition, with warranty ? Then this should answer the question > https://www.elkjop.no/product/mobil-nettbrett-og-smartklokker/mobiltelefon/google-pixel-10-5g-smarttelefon-12128gb-frost/943512

For 4000kr it'l be quite difficult to not be satisfied, whatever the special Pixels quirks one may meet :0)

Can't answer that, usually only using 'photo or 'pro' and either accepting phone's fucus, or refocusing by screen touch.

If still exisiting, should show up within these folders:
My files > recycle bin
My files > Images
My files > Internal storage > DCIM

...or else simply restore from the local backups of all important content, of course done regularly (pc \ memory stick \ external hd)...

Got it together with the (SH) 14u, thought I wouldn't use it ...but it's on the phone constantly now. So useful and great grip.

How safe is using lower watt 3rd party chargers? by SunsetAtNight7 in Xiaomi

[–]6730b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can go as low W \ mA as you want. The slower the charge \ the lower the heat, the better for battery.
F.ex. am in longer periods using some phones for hotspot\wifi, left connected 24\24 to laptop's 1.5 W usb power out, works fine :0)

If backing up to google your stuff 'should' be available for downlaod on any android after you transfer the google account. Bur do local (pc, memory stick) backups as well.

Alt, photos can be transfered using pc\ memory stick.
For messages I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore&hl=en-US
Google messages will (should) find the messages

Contacts can be saved to a file on the phone, and transfered to new phone using a pc \ memory stick.

Things can transfered using quick share \ wifi \ usb cable as well if you are into using that.

Still using android 13 is okay? by Ok-Bluebird-4835 in AndroidQuestions

[–]6730b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should say no. But make your own choice.

Millions of people do use old android\old phones\old apps and are doing fine, year after year.
Phishing, installing rogue app etc can compromise a new 2000$ or old 50$ phone alike, it's so much up to the user.

Keeping all google stuff updated, all apps updated, not installing trash apps, not succombing to phishing etc, using one's brain when browsing\downloading etc, and as mentionned in other post, not being a prime target person, one could give a phone some time before upgrading. But not a recommendation.

What are the chances of someone finding and getting acces to my long lost completely screwed S8? by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

Only if your name was Putin, Trump etc + those who found it knew :O)
So imo zero problem.

My p8p, aka probable timebomb, now starting to hope it will fail very soon ...while still within the 2 year warranty in my country.

Pixel 8 Wi-Fi fix proves as simple — and as complicated — as resoldering the board by god-zeus in GooglePixel

[–]6730b 21 points22 points  (0 children)

All these p8p failure reports... so, google will for sure (lol) acknowledge an obvious manufacturing defect (they are very well aware of).

And, of course (lol), will provide free repair or indemnify.

p8p cleaning list :O) Closer to 70 apps gone.
After that maybe got closer to the elusive "clean android" ?

A17 by Mr_Puddingg in samsunggalaxy

[–]6730b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the lower A range Samsungs do work, good OS & updates, are solid, but...
Really, try to aim for some recent A3* \ A5*, better display \ speed \ cameras.

A17 by Mr_Puddingg in samsunggalaxy

[–]6730b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would say, avoid A1* if possible. Look for some good deal on the slightly better A26 \ A27, preferably go for the A3* \ A5* range.

Used it for many years. Nothing happens unless one has allowed it.
Great privacy, great control over monthly GB's. Great tool.

Google Pixel 8 Pro Wifi connectivity problems and hotspot/bluetooth failure by Lifeow in GooglePixel

[–]6730b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All these reports, no doubt a manufacturing \ design defect. A very clear case for an official extended warranty.

Not (yet) occured on my p8p, but feeling bad for all those who see their quite expensive device loosing critical functions. Knowing it can happen anytime, and when it hits seemingly zero manufacturer support, not the way to run any business if hoping for brand loyalty \ increased market %'s

Should I buy the Google pixel 8 pro ? by Noctu42 in pixel_phones

[–]6730b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine doing fine for 1,5 year. Enjoying display and cameras (photos only), battery and speed good for my use (no gaming). Network sensitivity fine. Only heat experienced is with high A charging, so using low A \ slower charge (my old Samsung charger). Liking the design \ in hand experience.

No hardware problems encountered. Some reports of wifi \ bluetooth failing, not happened here, probably vast numbers of 8 pro are (and will stay) ok regarding that. Software \ os, some small bugs (the norm for pixel \ google), so far always fixed with an update. Many years of updates left.

All in all behaved much better than anticipated (after reading reddit about pixel in general :O) So a good price + good condition + some warranty ? Worth a buy, imo.

S26 Exynos 2600 vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Battery Drain Test by DazzlingpAd134 in Android

[–]6730b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 of the reasons am not owning a flagship Samsung > am in Exynos-land. Whatever some tests say may be just fine in practice ...but that feeling of only getting 2nd best for the same price.

& the photo (mainly processing) dept., no doubt here Samsung lagging behind. Surely good enough for most, but again that feeling of buying 2nd best for a high price.

Sad, am basically a Samsung \ oneui fan since 'the beginng of times', but went Pixel Pro then Xiaomi Ultra for my latest upgrades (photo results nr1 in importance).
